Cisco 360 Learning Program for CCIE Voice

Self-Paced Lesson: Troubleshooting Tools

The centerpiece of this Lesson Module is the Troubleshooting video on demand (VoD) instruction. The format of each VoD
module provides the powerful learning experience of shadowing a Cisco CCIE who is configuring and explaining a
troubleshooting process.

Duration: Nine Hours

Each VoD is about 15 to 30 minutes in length, and the approximately 9 hours of VoD modules are grouped into six blocks. A
supporting soft-assessment quiz is included in each block. The concepts that are presented in this Lesson Module are
practiced throughout the Practice Lab Workbooks in the Cisco 360 Learning Program for CCIE Voice.

Target Audience
This Lesson Module is for professional-level networking engineers who have 3 to 5 years of network engineering experience

or have completed the Cisco CCNP Voice certification and need to master CCIE-level problems that involve:

Formulating a structured and consistent troubleshooting process

Troubleshooting dial plans and call routing

Troubleshooting automated alternate routing (AAR) and tail-end hop-off (TEHO)

Troubleshooting Cisco Unified Communications Manager Extension Mobility

Troubleshooting Cisco Unified Communications Manager Device Mobility

Troubleshooting Cisco Unified Mobility

Recommended Prerequisites and Corequisites

A CCNP Voice level of understanding of network troubleshooting is required. It is also recommended that this lesson be
completed with these CCIE Voice lessons:

Extension Mobility

Cisco Unified Mobility

Cisco Unified Presence

Lesson Module Objectives

Upon completion of this Lesson Module, students should be able to formulate well-defined mental simulations to perform the
following troubleshooting tasks with the minimally described parameters that are commonly found in CCIE-level tasks:

Formulate an end-to-end opening moves strategy for troubleshooting tasks

Formulate a troubleshooting strategy for dial plans and call routing

Formulate a troubleshooting strategy for AAR and TEHO

Formulate a troubleshooting strategy for Cisco Unified Communications Manager Extension Mobility

Formulate a troubleshooting strategy for Cisco Unified Communications Manager Device Mobility

Formulate a troubleshooting strategy for Cisco Unified Mobility
