• Developed and implemented new business product bundles which provided customers
an opportunity to combine various usage and value added services into a bundle for a
reduced price in exchange for a multiyear commitment.
• Duties included working with Information Technology to provide and properly bill the
services, developing marketing strategy, designing and implementing customer
fulfillment documents, filing State and Federal tariffs with appropriate legal and cost
support and filing promotional tariffs to enhance attractiveness of the new bundled
services.
• Responsibilities required clear communication with all levels of management to initially
gain support for the projects, clear roadblocks to meet tight timeframes and provide
results once the product was introduced in the marketplace.
• Responsible to identify and resolve all problems encountered when the product was
initially introduced and throughout the lifecycle of the product. As Product Manager I
had ultimate responsibility for the product in the marketplace.

• Implemented a centralized training curriculum development organization to standardize


training delivered nationwide by seven NECA regional offices.
• Responsible for developing, tracking and maintaining a $5 million budget for the
Industry Relations-Headquarters organization.
• Responsible to the VP for analyzing the budgets of the seven regional offices.
• Responsible for investigating mergers and acquisitions of NECA member companies to
determine if there was any risk to NECA pools.

Staff Manager Verizon Communications (New Jersey Bell) Various

May 1969 to April 1987 (except as noted below)

• Staff Manager – Rates Develop revenue requirement to support the FCC Interstate
Annual and Filings. Developed rates for Directory Assistance and Radio Common
Carriers for the 1984 filings. Prepared and defended NJB’s first Corridor Tariff with the
FCC.

• Staff Manager I held a variety of assignments in Network, Interoffice Facilities, Service


Costs and Outside Plant Engineering. Developed and implemented a procedure to track
Interoffice Facility cable jobs through the Network Organization. Responsibilities
included selecting and training 4 Assistant Managers, developing the methodology and
implementation. Supervised eleven Associates and Assistant Managers in the
development of costs to support NJB’s successful Restructured Private Line Filing with
the Board of Public Utilities.

• Manager Outside Plant and Network Engineering. Various assignments designing


facilities to provide telecommunications services to residential and business customers.
