Over the past few weeks we have had some fun and exciting

times at First Baptist. Our watermelon fellowship on Sunday

evening, June 28, was a fun time and I want to thank Darren Deal
for supplying the watermelons. Our Patriotic service on July 1 was
inspiring and uplifting. Thank you Art Bruce, Chancel Choir, Saints
Alive Choir, instrumentalist, sound technicians and all who had a
part in the service. It was awesome!
I am looking forward to some great services ahead. This
Sunday we will be baptizing at the beginning of the 11AM service.
On Sunday, July 19, we will celebrate the Lords Supper in both the
morning worship services. We have a church wide movie night on
July 26. The movie God is not Dead will be shown.
In preparation for our Tail Gate/High Attendance Sunday,
Sunday school teachers have received their six month average of
attendance. Using that as the basis of attendance each class is to set
a goal for high attendance. This is a change from the way we have
done the goal setting before. Some other changes will be shared in
the weeks ahead.
I look forward to our worshipping together this Sunday.

SAINTS ALIVE TO SHARE

Please meet me at 6:15 in the Choir Room this
Sunday evening as we rehearse Old Fashioned Christian to sing in the evening worship
time. It should not take much polishing since it
was one of our favorites we shared with the assisted living facilities this spring. Myra Williams plans to play piano for us, so the live
music will sound better than my old track!
Thanks again to each of you who stepped up to
sing in the patriotic musical last week. You
were a blessing and you were blessed as well
to participate.

PATRIOTIC MUSICAL AT FBC

As I predicted in my Builder column last
week, the patriotic musical was a rousing success. Theres something special that stirs us
when we lift our hearts and our voices in
praise to God for His blessings on America.
Thanks again to Randall Terry and our friends
in the choir from Morningside Baptist Church.
I am grateful to each of the Saints Alive and
Chancel Choir members who participated and
sang their hearts out for the Lord.

Join us at Avery and Mary Lynn White's home for a pool party!
Lunch is FREE and will be hamburgers, chips, drink and dessert.

Pray for Camp! July 13-17

Next week we will send a group of 2nd-5th graders, two youth
assistants and three adult chaperones to CentriKid in Norman Park.
Please pray for our safety, that the Holy Spirit will move in our group
and for lots of fun (meaning no homesickness).

CPR Class Saturday, July 18 10 am

Fellowship Hall
The Children's Ministry will sponsor a CPR class (including child and
infant CPR) for anyone interested. Class will be $15 per person.
Please sign up with the church office if you would like to participate as
materials will need to be prepared for you.

VBS Follow Up Team

If you would like to help the Evangelism Explosion group follow up
and contact our prospects from VBS, please contact me or Brother
Paul. We hope to visit each family that is not a member or regularly
attend another congregation in our community.

Marianna Caverns Trip Monday, July 20 9 am -2 pm

Cost is $5 per person, plus lunch money. Please call the office to let
us know if you will be attending. We must meet a minimum quota
to have a tour. Extra adults are volunteering for this trip, so if you are
a parent that is unable to attend, please let me know and we can make
arrangements for your child to attend!

I want to say thanks to Daniel Dunlap for helping us

out during the 9:00 service this past week. It is
always great to have Daniel home and to help with
the praise team.
Dont forget that we will meet in different homes
this month on Wednesday nights. We will meet
together to eat, have a short devotion time, and hang
out together. Each Wednesday night will begin at
6:30 and last until 8:30.
May Lynn White has opened her home to us for a
pool party this Friday evening. We will meet at her
home from 6:00 8:30. I hope to see everyone there
and am looking forward to hanging out together.
Lastly, SNAC is this Sunday evening following the
worship service. Bro. Art has offered his home and
his pool for us so we will meet there following the
service.
