With language learning, there is a lot of apprehension. Marcia immediately
recognised that and took her time with me at the onset. Pronunciation was
difficult, to which she responded with giving meaningful exercises to motivate

KEY TEACHING ACHIEVEMENTS

Throughout my career I have received numerous recommendation letters and
LinkedIn endorsements for my lecturing and teaching work. In 2008 I was invited
to deliver a 60 minute lecture at Plovidv in Bulgaria because of one of my papers,
published in the International Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics.
I successfully taught a student group at Senai/Cetiqt in Rio de Janeiro who were
universally deemed incapable of succeeding at Mathematics. By teaching them
beyond the required syllabus, the students grasped a thorough understanding,
resulting in a positive educational experience.
Subsequent to designing software for primary and secondary schools based on
the printed works of an Arab-Brazilian Mathematician, I was invited by Victoria
University to deliver a presentation at the annual Science Fair.
The University of Queensland invited me to formally teach Portuguese at their
Institute of Modern Languages. As a result of my success, I was invited to extend
my tenure as a Teacher with the University.
