CONCERT ETIQUETTE
Guidelines to ensure that everyone
enjoys the music at Grey Fox
NEW CHAIR & BLANKET SECTION: The
front 2/3 of the amphitheater (between
the stage and the soundbooth) is for
chairs not more than 36 inches high
(without suntops). Tarps and blankets
in this area cannot exceed 6x8 feet.
See map (p. 8).
NEW STANDING & DANCING AREA: The
front right 1/3 of the amphitheater (between the stage and the soundbooth) is

are gonna happen!
OPEN SEATING: Behind the sound
booth all types of chairs are fine but
please do not block the view of patrons in the Handicap Access Tent.
CHAIRS CAN STAY: You do not have to
remove your chair each night, but we
ask that you allow others to use your
seats when youre not in them. Borrowers will leave when you come back. Its
the Grey Fox Way! Take your trash with
you each time you leave.
CONVERSATION: Shhhh! People are
trying to hear the music! You may think
youre not annoying those around you,
but think again.
CELL PHONES: Set to manner mode!
Leave concert areas to make calls.
FRONT WALKWAY: Please show respect for musicians & listeners. Use
the walkway in front of the stage between songs or better yet, between

HOT TIP OF THE FEST!
FESTIVAL SERVICES
and before you go home, please donate some change including your leftover Funny Money.
All donations go 100% to the Copprome Orphanage.
Ginger Smith, from Wethersfield, CT, has been running the Grey Fox
food concession since 1985. Its a huge part of her life, which she
wouldnt trade for anything. Ginger is just as deeply committed to an
orphanage in El Progresso, Honduras that she has supported for 13
years. She sells homemade soups at a local church in winter; and her
homemade jellies, jams and relishes at the farmers market in summer
to raise money for the 40+ orphans who live at Copprame. She visits
the orphanage at least twice each year to make sure the kids are
doing well. All of the money she raises goes directly to pay for the
needs of the children~with an occasional road trip or party.
This year, a club Ginger belongs to in CT made pillow cases for each child but when she arrived, she learned
that most of the children didnt have a pillow. Now they do! She always takes new clothes for the boys and
girls, and in April, she bought them all new shoes. With your continued support, Ginger hopes to raise another
$3000 for the kids when she visits in November. Your donations, together with the money she makes selling
soups and jams, allow her to purchased food, clothing and necessities such as garden tools, gas for cooking,
kitchen supplies, refrigerators, tires, and more. Grey Fox hopes youll again open your hearts and give what
you can to help Ginger continue aiding her children(who we now consider our children too). Thank you
so much for your support of the Copprome Orphanage.

Over Yonder
We would like to recognize these members of the Grey Fox family
who have left us during the past twelve months:
Ben Freed Armonk, NY 1956- June 1, 2015
World-class banjoist and retired doctor of optometry, Ben Freed was passionate about
sharing his knowledge of the banjo with beginners and experts alike. He was a dear friend of many
Grey Fox musicians, staff, and fans. The Westchester Bluegrass Club will be hosting
a celebration of Bens life on September 26 in Katonah, NY (See page 20)
Benjamin Franklin (Tex) Logan Madison, NJ June 6, 1927 - April 24, 2015
Born in Coahoma, Texas, Tex Logan was a celebrated electrical engineer by day and a
world famous fiddler by night. Tunes that are synonymous with Tex Logan are Diamond Joe,
Come Along Jody, and Christmas Times A-Comin. He played with Mike Seeger, The Lilly Brothers,
Bill Monroe, and long-time friend, Peter Rowan. Texs songs have been recorded
by Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris, Bob Dylan, and many others. .
Preston Martin Wardsboro, VT September 3, 1955 - November 9, 2014
Preston Martin was an avid bluegrass music fan who joyously attended Grey Fox for years.
He was also an enthusiastic outdoorsman who loved to hike and climb, and who loved animals.
One of his favorite musicians? Peter Rowan. One of his favorite songs? Land of the Navajo.
Thomas Wade West Chester, PA March 3, 1958 - August 15, 2014
Tom Wade came to Grey Fox for years as the company representative for the prestigious Beard Guitar Company.
His warmth and dedication to bluegrass soon made him a favorite among staff, touring pros,
casual players, fellow vendors, and sponsors. His presence will be sorely missed here.
