    The Prophet Muhammad continued to spread the message of Islam in Makkah, but many people did not accept it and opposed him instead. When oppression against Muslims increased, the Prophet told his followers to migrate to Abyssinia for protection. After several years, the Prophet and his followers migrated from Makkah to Madinah where the first Muslim community and mosque were established.
