Negative Effects of Conventional Anti-Depressants

Most people with depression are usually prescribed antidepressant medications. These
medicines are also prescribed for post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar depression,
chronic pain syndromes, obsessive-compulsive disorder, substance abuse, chronic pain
syndromes, and others. A 2011 study carried out by the US Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention tells us that 11% people above the age of 12 years are taking
antidepressant medications in the US.
Conventional wisdom tells us that these medications are safe and effective. The reality is
quite different. All prescription drugs have side effects. But it now seems like
antidepressant medications are doing more harm than good.
1. Antidepressants are just moderately effective. Relapse is common The
symptoms seem to go down initially, but this is just short-term relief.
2. Higher risk of relapse if you discontinue antidepressant medication The brain
pushes back against conventional antidepressants, and this can cause a relapse
when you stop the drug.
3. Antidepressants can cause neuronal damage and even death Studies carried out
on rodents have established this. Antidepressants can cause structural damage
and kill neurons.
4. Antidepressants can increase breast cancer risk. But recent research tells us that
they can be useful in treating brain cancers.
5. Antidepressants can cause cognitive decline Experts carried out in rodents have
shown than prolonged use of these drugs impairs the ability to learn new tasks.
Prolonged use might also impair our ability to drive automobiles.
6. Antidepressant use may lead to poor gastrointestinal functioning These drugs
elevate the serotonin level in the intestinal lining. This cause indigestion,
bloating, constipation, diarrhea, headache, and pain.
7. Prolonged antidepressant use can cause sexual dysfunction Depression reduced
sexual functioning. Antidepressants will make the problem worse. It impairs
arousal, sexual drive and the ability to achieve orgasm. The sperm quality also
goes down.
8. Antidepressants can cause developmental problems These drugs can affect
neonatal and fetal development. There is increased risk of low birth weight and
preterm delivery. First trimester exposure can increase risk of congenital defects.
9. Antidepressants can increase the risk of abnormal bleeding and stroke
Research indicates that prolonged use of conventional antidepressant drugs can
lead to these serious conditions. Those who are taking this are more likely to have
a hemorrhagic stroke. There can be gastrointestinal bleeding as well.
10. Antidepressants affect seniors negatively Research carried out among older
patients reveals that these drugs can cause several conditions, such as stroke,
cognitive decline, bone fracture, seizures, muscle cramps, and even death.
So you see, there are many side effects of conventional antidepressants on both the
seniors and young people. Its thus best to stay away from these drugs, or at least limit
their intake.

But there are two products that are providing relief from major depressive disorders and
some other conditions without any side effects. Both work for everybody elderly
people, women and others, according to the findings of several studies.
They are Tianeptine Sulfate Powder and Tianeptine Sodium Powder. The world is
gradually shifting to these powders.
