Company Profile: The Coca Cola Company
In July of 2001, CCBPI returned to the San Miguel Corporation after being a part of Coca-Cola

Process A
The process starts with mixing the refined sugar at the treated water to form the maple syrup.
After making the maple syrup it will then pass thru a filtration to ensure the purity and clarity of
the syrup. The filtered syrup called Final Syrup is mixed with the coca cola concentrated syrup
to form the coca cola syrup. The coca cola syrup will now undergo the de aerator proportioner
cooler-carbonator which will make the mixed treated water, and the coca cola syrup to be
carbonated where carbon dioxide is supplied to the carbonator. After making the carbonated
mixture it will then bottled in the filler crowner.
Process B
The start of process B happens when forklifts haul pallets or empty bottles form trucks to de
palletizing section. The Pallet is unloaded and removed from cases then transferred to the feed
conveyor. The empty cases are automatically cleaned before filled bottles are placed in them.
Empty Bottles are examined by inspection before being fed into the bottle washer, unclean and
defective bottles are segregated. The inspected bottles pass thru the bottle washer which takes
about 30 minutes to be sterilized using hot caustic soda solution and the final rinsing is made
with purified water. After washing it will pass again to an inspection. The inspected sterilized
bottles pass thru an electronic bottle inspection that makes the final inspection of empty bottles
which are to be filled with coca-cola. The next process is the filler crowner where coca-cola
bottles are automatically bottled and tightly crowned or capped. After the crowning It will be
inspected if the bottles are filled carefully. After inspection it will be packed and stacked on
pallets which will be delivered by trucks to retails.
Observation
The Coca Cola Bottlers Philippines Inc. has maintained cleanliness around their plant. The Plant
tour was insufficient in terms of information and visual regarding the manufacturing process that
is happening inside the plant. The person touring us in the manufacturing plant did not give us a
thorough explanation regarding the actual processes happening inside the plant. Overall the
there were some parts that was not discussed thoroughly, but it was only briefly shown how the
process is happening from their video presentation and from the paper that they gave about the
manufacturing process.
Recommendation
They should assign a person who is capable and educated in the manufacturing process so that
for every person that will tour the plant of Coca Cola Bottlers Philippines Inc. will be able to
appreciate and learned some new knowledge in the manufacturing process of Coca Cola
Products.
