We are so glad you have joined us today! Our desire is that God
would bless and direct this time together. Worship is an
interactive, participatory experience and our prayer is that the
service today would strengthen and encourage you on your
spiritual journey. Whether you are new to faith, just coming back
to church, or a long-time follower of Jesus, we hope you find your
time with us engaging and meaningful.

WH AT TO EXPECT TOD AY

Most of the time this is after the message, but at other times it

NAZARENE MISSIONS INTERNATIONAL

WORSHIP MINISTRIES

New Missionary Books/CDs are HERE!!

There are 6 adult books and 6 childrens books. A sign-out sheet is
available at the NMI table in the hallway. Dont read? No problem! We
have the books on CD, too.
The sign-out sheet helps us keep a count of the number of books/cds
read/listened to. This is important for our end of the year reports. For
questions, see Darlene Gilliam.
Book Review: Revival Fires by Howie Shute
Imagine a witch doctor marching up a district assembly aisle
with his tools burning above his head in surrender to the Lord. Imagine
bullets spattering around your boat as guerillas fire away. Imagine a
village chasing you for revenge because too many people have turned
to Jesus.
You dont have to imagine...former missionary and current
pastor Howie Shute, brings these stories and more to life as he
recounts the Holy Spirits work in the Horn of Africa.
Does God still move in the hearts and lives today as he did in
the early days of the disciples? This book answers that question with a
resounding Yes!

No Choir Practice Tonight

Volunteers Needed
We are looking for volunteers to work in our tech dept. to help

MICAH 6:8 MINISTRY from Sandy Schefcik

Did You Know

that redefining marriage in the courts may not

have been difficult, but persuading Americans to accept it is another
story entirely? In church after church, the story is the same -- pastors
preaching powerful sermons on God's design for marriage and urging
their congregations to accept no substitutes. In African-American
churches, the White House's anti-marriage campaign is particularly
infuriating. Like most of the congregation at Mt. Hebron Missionary
Baptist Church in Los Angles, the Pastor was appalled by the rainbow
light show on the White House. From Catholic parishes to Jewish
synagogues, the faith community is showing what true diversity looks
like. In Brentwood, Tennessee, Pastor Mike Easley at Fellowship Bible
Church preached from Genesis 19 and said that if lawsuits come for
their views on sexuality and marriage -- so be it. The people in the
pews stood up in thunderous applause. In Tyler, Texas, the local
diocese was put on notice: no Catholic facility or employee of the
church would participate "in any way" in same-sex marriage. Bishop
Joseph Strickland left no doubt where he stands after a Supreme Court
ruling that he calls "unjust and immoral." It is our "duty," he informed
his parishes, "to clearly and emphatically oppose it... In spite of the
decision by the Supreme Court, there are absolutely no grounds for
considering unions between two persons of the same sex to be in any
way similar to God's plan for marriage and the family."
