Message of Po3 Ronald Villanueva Daguro Monday Flag Raising Ceremony of PSJLC June 1, 2015
(Appropriate greetings)
Being chosen to stand here and address you, my fellow
public servants, gives me a mixture of feeling of humility,
challenge, and pride. I am humbled for the trust my classmates
have for me that they chose as their speaker for our Flag
Raising Ceremony; challenged for the task that I was given and
proud that I got the chance to speak before you.
This wont take too long because I know that what I have
to share is not a new topic for all of you. And I know for a fact
that some might be much more well verse and more
knowledgeable than I do. That might be the case; I hope you
still lend me your ears for the next five minutes.
I agree with SERGE LANG, a renowned Mathematician
and active Vietnam War opposition, when he once exclaimed
that everyone is responsible for policing. I agree with how he
viewed policing as a concern and obligation of everyone and
not just of us-the police officers.
Ladies and gentlemen, I would say that gone are the days
when making the streets free from crimes, safeguarding the
lives and properties of the community and protecting their rights
