Tigers Notes

Anibal Sanchez started tonight for the Tigers and allowed four runs on nine hits with two walks, six strikeouts and two home
runs in 6.2 innings of work. With the win, Sanchez extended his winning streak to seven games, which ties the longest of his
career since he won seven straight from July 24-September 11, 2013.
Nick Castellanos hit a grand slam home run in the third inning off Mike Montgomery who loaded the bases on an infield hit
and two walks. It marked Castellanos eighth home run of the season and his first career grand slam, the Tigers second of the
season. The last was by Yoenis Cespedes on April 19 against Chicago. Castellanos tabbed two hits in tonights contest to record
his 18th multi-hit game of the season and his four RBI tie his career-high.
Ian Kinsler tabbed a multi-hit game, his 34th of the season, with a double to left field in the first inning and both an infield hit
and a RBI double to right field in the third inning. His 34 multi-hit games are tied for second in the American League. His single
to right field in the eighth inning marked his third game with four hits.
Jose Iglesias tabbed two doubles in tonights contest, a RBI double to left field in the third inning and his other to right field

in the seventh inning. It marked his 18th multi-hit game of the season.
Victor Martinez tabbed a RBI single in the eighth inning of tonights contest. In 78 career games vs. Seattle, Martinez is

Austin Jackson hit a leadoff single to center field and a double to right field in the fifth inning to record his 21st multi-hit

David Rollins pitched a career-high 2.1 innings of scoreless relief for the Mariners in tonights contest giving up just two hits
