One of the important functions of HR manager is to be able to construct a motivating job design. The challenge is how flexible the job design must be and what incentives it must have inherent in itself that would make employees of an organization work effectively and happily? Let us test how ready you are to take this challenge. You are required to prepare a job design document for any of the job title assigned to you from the following list. What is to be done? It is a pair-group activity. Each pair has to design a job for different jobs assigned to them keeping in view the psychological characteristics and efficiency/satisfaction perspective in mind. You have to discuss in your report and presentation about opportunities of rotation and enrichment of the job as well. You will need to interview at least 3-5 people working on the job, so that you are better informed about the duties and tasks one has to perform at the job.
