EIL GAD EXTRACTION

Check points to be made in Design module Before GAD Extraction:

1. Design data consistency, Interference to be checked and approved.
2. Modelling and grouping should be done I n a organized manner, ex) Beams, ladders & Platforms
should be modelled in separate sub-framework (or) substructure as per Pltf (or) Rack tier elevation
drgs. And named as per study drgs. Otherwise for extracting drgs. Elevation wise we have to include
& exclude elements each and everytime for every single GAD.
3. All Branches should be connected & terminated properly, thereshould not be any threadline in
model.
4. There should not be any pipe w/o branches, branches w/o components unless it is 200mm spool
piece or rack pipe portion. All piping elements should be under zone limits, it should not be in E0 N0
U0 or anyother position.
(Hint: When your working area is added in graphical view in design module and given walk to entire
drawlist it should be well able to see elements under zone limits).
Points 3 & 4 to be taken in care, otherwise it will affect while taking model status report and GAD
extraction.
Check points to be made in GAD Extraction:
1. GAD users & databases should be created as required.
2. In Draft ADP application, Settings menu user defaults

* Above settings to be confirmed and then only GAD to be extracted.

3. Create department and follow accordingly,

click near function, modify to change drg type.

Click near function, defaults to change drg type.

Modify above for required settings

In General settings modify in drawlist to create IDLI and add required design elements for
Drg.

Then select required representation style, line type view direction, limit setting, drg scale,
Orientation as below.

Select required taggings, schedules and atrribute definiton for view control.

Then apply and update

Update now to generate drg.

Then switch to general application for fine tuning.

To Create Gridlines:
1. Be at view level, utilities >EIL GAD GRID MARKING

In Layer /0102/S1/V1/USER_Notes a VNOT will be created containing 2d primitives such as STRA,

TEXP; CIRC will be created required for grid marking. Edit these primitives as required.

**Grid names are created invertedly.

To update Drawing Revision column:

1. Be at sheet level Utilities>EIL GAD Revision Table

Align texts properly if required. It will create REVI (ex, /0102/S1/REV-A) at sheet level where all
information will be stored, to modify q att and change required attributes.
A note (ex, /0102/S1/REV-TEXTS) will also be created under sheet level with TEXP text primitive
elements storing drg revision information.

GENERAL COMMANDS IN PDMS DRAFT

FOR POSITIONING LABELS, TEXP, CIRCLE, ARC, ETRIS USE COMMAND
AT@
HIGHLIGHT CE'
REFRESH
OSHT @
-TO OVERSHOOT THE DIMENSION LINE
PLCLEA @ -TO CUT THE DIMENSION LINE LENGTH
Create gaps in label definition form used to create a gap in the dimension lines
For auto dimensioning, used TAGGING in VIEW SETTING
For creating symbol text refer next page. (use alphapets with prefix ~)
POINTS TO BE REMBER FOR BOR GAD EXTRACTION
VIEW SHOULD BE CREATED WITH FUNCTION DRA-GENADP-PXPIP
ROTATE THE VIEW BY 90 DEG USING COMMAND ADEG-90
MATCHLINES should be available for the gad Use user Defined Values of 17.
DIMENSIONS ARE TO BE CREATED USING LDIM
-/0251/S1/V1/GDP1/Dims/DOWN or UP or LEFT or RIGHT.
Due to view rotation, dimensions may display in default direction. So modify the dimension
definition. accordingly.
Use OBLIQUES for dimensional terminators.
AFTER EXTRACTING THE GAD, DELETE THE UNWANTED AND DUPLICATE
NOZZLE AND INSTRUMENTS TAGS
Position the N & E coordinates in Left Top corner and Bottom Down corner

CREATE THE NOZZLE TABLE WITH EIL CUSTOMISATION, AT THE END OF

CREATING ALL LABELS, TAGS, AND DIMENSIONS.
Indicate the line flow using the EIL LINE FLOW INDICATION
Create the Revision for GAD using EIL GAD REV
Use EIL DRAFT BATCH PLOT for giving the plotter.
