Family struck by pylon

A family of five on their way to Tanjung Priok in North Jakarta on Saturday was hit by a cement
pylon used in the construction of a toll road.
Cilincing Police chief Comr. Edi Punawan said that the familys car was passing the construction
site on Jl. Raya Cakung-Cilincing when the pylon fell on it, causing minor injuries to Hendi, 46,
and his son William.
The incident happened at 12:20 p.m. "We are still investigating the case. There will be a meeting
between the family and the construction company in the near future," Edi said as quoted by
tempo.co

Jokowi to ask UK investors

diversify investment in
RI
President Joko Jokowi Widodo will, in his meeting with his British counterpart David
Cameron this afternoon, invite United Kingdom (UK) investors to diversify their investments in
Indonesia.
Jokowi is scheduled to receive Cameron at the State Palace at 17:05, after receiving a courtesy
call from the Chinese Parliament speaker. After the meeting, Jokowi and Cameron are scheduled
to hold bilateral talks with delegates from the two countries. Vice President Jusuf Kalla and
ministers will attend the bilateral talks.
The two heads of government will sign bilateral agreements between Indonesia and United
Kingdom and afterwards, will hold a joint press conference.
In the evening, the President will host a gala dinner for the British Prime Minister and his
delegation at the State Palace.
State Secretary Minister Pratikno said that during the meeting with Cameron, the President
would discuss economic and investment issues.
We want the (British) government and investors not only to double their investment in the
country but also to diversify. Not only in natural resources but also in other sectors that have
become our governments strategic programs, he said as quoted by kompas.com.
