Rated and raved and love by all who visit. Chez Victor is a real gem
and great edition to the Abuja restaurant scene. With a extensive
menu offering French and African fusion meals. You can tell
without a doubt owner and head chef Victor has poured all his
passion in every single dish he creates. From the ingredients, the
flavour to the presentation, even in the simplest dishes, the bread
alone is baked to perfection. The ambience it self gives a cosy feel
accompanied with the french music and sometimes jazz that plays
whilst you enjoy your meal, everything just fits. The walls are
paved with Chez Victors story, from scriptures to pictures of his
cookbooks. Chez Victor is always up and about asking making sure
his guest are always happy. This has to be one of the finest
restaurants in Abuja, the food is exceptional and definitely a must
try for all.
In Thailand, food forms a central part of any social occasion and
vice versa. Food often becomes the social occasion in itself, or
reason to celebrate. So it makes perfect sense that Sawadee is the
perfect spot to enjoy a great meal in a great setting. Looks wise,
Sawadee doesnt picture well, but once you dive into their mouth
watering dishes, and look past the plain and almost outdated
furniture and decor. You discover you are eating the most
authentic Thai food to be found in Abuja. With freshly cooked,
authentic Thai food with everything from their curries and sauces
to their starters are made by hand. Offering innovative yet classic
cuisines for all Thai lovers. Sawadee Thai is the perfect place to
experience contemporary Thai food in a clean and sophisticated
setting. Private rooms are available for corporate and family
entertaining guests.
Situated in the heart of Wuse, Tulip Bistro somehow manages
to be a little oasis of calm away from the steady heartbeat of
Nigerias capital. The Bistro is reasonably small but flooded
with natural light and stylishly furnished with high wooden
chairs and tables, a huge glass fronted display showing all the
freshly baked goods on offer and a hand written menu behind
the cash desk. Everything is quick to be served and deliciousfrom the grilled chicken salad which has fast become a fan
favourite, to the enormously satisfying classic burger served
with perfect French fries. The Bistro also cashes in on Abujas
insatiable desire for yummy pastries- try any one of their
extensive range of muffins and fall instantly in love. The best

looking for a place to rent for a year; then you need to hire
an agent. Renting in Abuja can be fun and it could also be
disastrous. There are certain things to look for when you
are working with an agent- For instance- looking for a place
in Gwarinpa? Most Gwarinpa based agents work as a
network of several pairs, so it will be ideal for you to include
inspection fee( which is between N2000 to N5000) as part
of your budget during house searching.Why? The idea of
working in pairs allows some agents be in control of the
houses and their owners, while other agents are in charge
of the clients looking for where to rent. Certain factors to
look out for in renting a space would be 1. Every area has unique agents who know what you could be
looking for.
2. There is need for inspection fee; in some case it is per
house which you inspect.
3. Once you have identified the house you want to live in; it is

make a good fashion stylist,I hope you enjoy it..
Good Organizations: Time management is key.. you are given deadlines
constantly some are far away and some are not.. you need to be able to
manage your time well. you also need to be in one piece.. nothing says
professionalism LOUDER than someone who turns up to a shoot/meeting and
they are completely organized!!
Hard Skin: There is going to be moments when you feel down.. as you startup in your profession you will find you are low on money.. you may find that
doors are closed in your face.. you may find your work criticized or you may
even have conflicts with clients FOR ME.. criticism is something that builds
me.. I love to be told where I can improve.. you HAVE to have HARD SKIN!! no
softies.. this does not mean being a b*tch.. that will not get you very far.. but
it means not letting one knock keep you on the floor.. have the ability to use
the window if the door is closed!!
Energy: In my impression.. people in the fashion industry could possibly have
the worst eating habits.. I sometimes have gone a DAY without eating
because I am so busy!! but I have learnt to keep lil snacks on me that keep
my energy boosted to the MAXX!! you need to have energy.. It keeps you on
top of your game.. if you are really unhealthy and are not prepared to run to
get yourself to a meeting on time.. then in my impression.. your NOT CUT
OUT!! I have ran like Usain Bolt on some occasions.. My manager will be my
witness LOL!! Some think stylist life is all glamourous.. IN FACT you are one of
the hardest working people in the industry..
Trend Awareness: Its nice to be able to dress.. some think this is all a stylist
does.. But being Trend Aware and knowing what is in on the current season
and seasons to come is essential!! it keeps you on your A Game.. know what
is big this season.. make it your own.. pick your favourites.. and style it with
your model/client in a way that is visually appealing.. especially to the
CLIENT!! your Client.. wether it be a magazine or a record Label.. or a
man/woman you are personally styling.. get to know them what they LOOK
for.. Trends they like! etc.. For me I get to make what they want!
Fashion Visual Sense: This to depends on the Client.. if I was to style for
Company Magazine.. it would NOT be the same as if I was to style for ID
Magazine or Instyle this again is knowing your client.. and having a good
visual eye for the customer.. and spotting kinks and flaws its no good doing
a photo shoot and wasting a whole hour on shots with a belt twisted etc. it
takes attention to detail.. and unfortunately.. this is not just on the clothes..
its the look as a WHOLE!! (you are the ribbon to a package)

Versatility: Having your signature way of styling is an

important thing to have, but it is also very important to be
versatile.. be able to style in different ways.. for a man.. for a
woman.. beauty.. hair.. the wider your versatility stretches is
the more work you are able to get
Good networking/Communication skills: Talking to big
companies or people could be daunting.. but to be honest.. you
WILL get the hang of it.. lol I like to talk to as much people as
possible nowadays.. Getting to know people is important!! and
most of all.. its important that people get to know the great
person you are. good people skills are good tools to stay
professional.. and allows you to build relationships with
people.. DO NOT CALL VOGUE and speak like Vicky Pollard!!
Open Minded: For me.. this is a wide-spread characteristic. be
open-minded.. you are not always in control of everything.. I
have found myself in a position where a member of the team
on a shoot has a strong idea about what they visualized for
the hair they had done..I was open-minded and tried what they
said.. in fact.. it turned out better than what I had initially
planned!! be open-minded.. you will work with people from
different ages, genders, sexual preferences & races.. be open
and ready to treat everyone equally.. if you dont have the
ability to be open-minded about basic things such as this.. I
would tell you to consider.. is this really for you? turn back
and think again..

how to loose weight In 2014, I started a consulting position with events-ng.com and I must say it was an
opener. I am one of the few originals who have been living in Abuja since the late

and I must say this without hurting myself- Abj is so laid back, so I am always
FAST!
wandering when will Abuja begin to dine and wine like the mega communities
worldwide. Abuja is a city with a lot of gardens that people actually find it boring at
times to go out to a classy restaurant and honestly I do not mean MR. Biggs. When
will this ultra modern city be ready to dine and wine daily without busting the ATM
late at night? I for one would like to chill and relax with a glass of wine, while eating
eba( I dey dream abi?)yes, I am....but seriously when will Abuja be ready to ditch the
garden life and make it to the restaurants? Hopefully soon. Yeah, I believe- with the
likes of Chez Victor, Tulip Bistro, Sawadee; we will soon make that transition. Are we
ready to stop pointing and killing those catfishes? Are we game with switching from
lager beer to red wine? I am so ready! Yes I am- but first I will have to fight those
friends who wont let go of a plate of pepper soup or isiewu somewhere in masaka.
They are always the ones to call you when the urge is there to go to a newly
discovered garden on the outskirts of Abuja. I am not asking for an eradication of
gardens- I love them please- but every once in a while we will need to sit down
comfortably in a serene environment and delight our taste buds with fine cuisine.

Toss the boiled potatoes, diced spring onions
thyme and curry with a bit of salt into olive oil
in a pan and stir for 5-7mins. Then put in the
chilli pepper paste and let in cook for another
5mins- this meal is rich without water- but in
case you want to eat it with bread then you can
add a little water. Lastly put in the shrimps and
stir all together for 6mins. Sprinkle chopped parsley and it is ready to serve.

Many Hearts whether wounded or broken can be mended or healed with well-chosen words whether written or
spoken.
Have you really thought about the power you have to either inspire or uplift yourself and others around simply by
the words you use? Do you realize that words can either propel you to achieve excellence in everything that you do
or hold you down from even trying anything at all?
Words whether written or spoken are the most powerful force on earth because not only are they the hallmark
of our humanity, they are also used to create and communicate ideas that can either make or break us, both as
individuals or as institutions. Indeed, words are the kindling energy that shapes our thoughts, fuels our actions and
creates reactions in others. As a result of this, every word we speak or write produces an effect in the world even
though we are oblivious of the positive or negative effect these words have on ourselves and the people around us.
Actually, most of us take words for granted by failing to realize that words are the most powerful tools with which
we use to influence others, either negatively or positively. We do not understand that the constant usage and
application of negative words lower self-esteem and destroy the joy of living; while well-chosen positive words on
the other hand motivate, encourage, as well as propel us to gain greater heights in life. This is to say that nothing
positive (good) can come from being negative (bad). However, for the benefit of those who may still think or feel
otherwise, here is what the Bible says about the value of well-chosen words: A gentle answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger.- Proverbs 15:1
In light of the above, rather than use words to hurt, abuse, ridicule, distort, disrespect, misguide, demoralize,
defile, curse, humiliate, damn, destroy and hate use words to heal, praise, compliment, beautify, respect, direct,
motivate, purify, bless, educate, salvage, build and love. Certainly, the result of habitually using or applying positive
words in our daily interactions with one another is greatly beneficial and more pleasing to humanity; because by
doing so, we can actually overcome despair with hope, hate with love, failure with success, wickedness with
compassion, impurity with purity, injustice with justice, weakness with strength, division with unity, selfishness
with generosity, fear with faith, corruption with integrity, war with peace, and ultimately, evil with good. Simply put,
through well-chosen words, you can become a dealer of hope in a world that is filled with fear, doubt, and anxiety.
Moreover, the continued cultivation and apprehension of such a worthy aspiration is far better than just
complaining about the wrong things of this World, and practically doing nothing to change them. As a matter of
fact, you can become part of the solution to the problems devastating many nations by making a conscious and
consistent effort to always choose your words wisely and carefully, knowing that these words will surely have a
positive and lasting impact on you and the people you interact with every day. And while you are at it, do not
hesitate to encourage, urge or challenge those around you to continue emulating this meaningful act until our
world becomes an interwoven web of positive words. Imagine what a beautiful world it would be!
Allow me to quickly add that just as God Almighty who is the maker of all heavenly and earthly things, created us in
His image and likeness with words, so too do we all possess the ability to create our world and determine our
destinies with words, as well So let your words heal and not hurt!
