INT. STEVENS BEDROOM-DAY
The room is bland, the walls are covered in a badge paint. By
the window there is a wooden desk next to it is a matching
wooden shelf that holds books and binders. Across from the
desk is a bunk bed, in the bottom bunk lays STEVEN, short
brown hair, normal sized boy (15).
Steven slowly opens his eyes and sees the light coming
through the window. He swiftly gets up, stretches for a
minute and gets out of bed.
CUT TO:
(Opening credit montage of Steven getting ready to go out.)
CUT TO:
EXT. PATH UNDER BRIDGE-DAY
The path is next to the water, by the water is MARISSA, semi
long hair, in a skirt and button up shirt (17 ). Marissa
stands up and turns to look down the path, she notices
Steven. She walks over with a smile on her face.
MARISSA
Youre late Stevie.
STEVEN
Yeah well I slept in.
Steven walks past Marissa. Marissa turns her head to watch
Steven go sit down on a patch of grass. She looks at him with
a disappointed look on her face.
MARISSA
Your cranky again Stevie. Why?
Steven stares out at the water. He looks annoyed.
STEVEN
Im not cranky, Im just tired. Why
did you ask me to meet you here so
early anyway?... I have to go to
school in a hour you know.
MARISSA
Why do you go?

STEVEN
What? To school? Because one of us
has to.
There is a silent pause all that is heard is the wind blowing
and birds in the sky.
STEVEN (CONTD)
You should go.
Marissa then walks up to Steven. She stands behind him.
STEVEN (CONTD)
Stop being such a kid.
Marissa then bends down and puts her arms around Stevens
shoulders.
MARISSA
But we are kids Stevie.
She pushes closer to him, her breasts are pushed up right on
his back and her mouth is right next to his ear.

STEVEN

Steven says in shock and then goes back to being annoyed.

STEVEN (CONTD)
Why do you always do this?
As Steven says this Marissa nibbles on his ear.
MARISSA
Because I dont want to keep it
bottled in.
STEVEN
What? What are you talking about?
What will happen if you let it out?
MARISSA
Probably something amazing.
Marissa puts all her weight on Steven and he is brought to
the ground. The morning sun is still starting to rise

EXT. PATH UNDER BRIDGE-DAY
The morning sun has now risen as we see Steven get up with
Marissa still wrapped around his body. Steven still looks
annoyed.
STEVEN
Im leaving.
Steven stands up and Marissa slips off of him. Marissa sits
up.
MARISSA
Where you going?
STEVEN
School. You made me late.
Marissa looks at Stevie.
MARISSA
But you dont even have your bag or
anything.
STEVEN
I Dont need them.
Stevie looks at Marissa.
STEVEN (CONTD)
Im leaving are you going to
stay... or are you coming.
There is a silence. Marissa stares at him not knowing what to
say.
STEVEN (CONTD)
Why did you ask me to come here so
early?
Marissa turns her head and looks down.
STEVEN (CONTD)
Fine. Im leaving.
As Steven turns to walk away, a woman (MEGAN mid 23 short
scruffy blonde hair and blue eyes, wearing a helmet and
goggles. Nice slim body, very attractive) riding her bike
comes and smashes into Steven sending him flying about ten
feet.
Marissa looks in shock as this happens.
He lands in a patch of grass.

Marissa begins to run over to Steven.
STOP!

MEGAN

Marissa stops.
Megan is now right in Marissas face.
MEGAN (CONTD)
You cant touch him okay.
Why not?

MARISSA

MEGAN
Why not? Well look at him he needs
medical attention.
MARISSA
Oh I guess your right Ill call an
ambulance.
Megan grabs Marissas phone and kicks it into the water.
Hey!

MARISSA (CONTD)

MEGAN
No need for phone.
MARISSA
Oh are you a doctor.
Megan turns and looks at Marissa.
MEGAN
Of course I am.
Megan walks over to Steven, bends down and examines him.
Steven has a lifeless look on his face.
Megan shoots up in a flash.
MEGAN (CONTD)
OH MY GOD hes dead. Struck down
just like all of his forefathers
before him.
MARISSA
Your not really a doctor are you.

Megan throws her helmet and goggles off into the air. She
knees down and hold Stevens head.
Megan has a sweet gentle look on her face. It then snaps into
a aggressive look.
MEGAN
Wake the fuck up!
Megan then goes in for CPR.
Marissa looks in complete shock.
Steven wakes up in a fright, screams and crawls backwards
away from Megan.
MEGAN (CONTD)
Oh... your awake.
Marissa runs over to Steven.
MARISSA
Stevie you okay?
STEVEN
Owe. What the hell was that for?
Megan starts to blush and act all jittery.
MEGAN
Well you werent breathing and your
pretty cute so I just thought hey
what a perfect opportunity...
STEVEN
No! I meant about hitting me.
Megan snaps out of acting jittery.
MEGAN
Hey dont get mad at me your the
one who was standing in the middle
of the path.
STEVEN
Dont blame it on me!
MEGAN
But it was your fault!
STEVEN
Your acting like a kid blaming it
on me.

MEGAN
It goes both ways brother.
Steven stands up.
STEVEN
Crazy witch lady.
Megan puts her helmet and goggles on. She then gets on her
bike.
MEGAN
Annoying little boy!
She throws a can at his head and rides off.
MARISSA
You still going to school?
CUT TO:
INT. MIDDLE SCHOOL CLASSROOM-DAY
The classroom has a cozy feel to it, the sun is shining
through the window. It is a generic looking classroom.
All the students are up either talking to there friends are
sitting eating at theyre desk. Its lunch time.
In the middle of the class Steven sits alone. He has a bandaid on his cheek. He looks angry.
A girl walks over to him ROSA, (15) long dark hair, pale
skin, wearing a skirt and a shirt. She stops next to his desk
and looks at Steven.
ROSA
Whats with the band-aid?
STEVEN
Whats it matter.
ROSA
Does it have something to do with
why you were late?
STEVEN
I said it doesnt matter.
ROSA
Being late doesnt matter?

STEVEN
Miss. Winddecker said it was fine
so.
There is a awkward silence. Then two boys (KYLE, 15 brown
shaggy hair with a faint mustache, wearing jeans and a hoody.
IAN , 15 short black hair, glasses, wearing shorts and a
normal T-shirt) pop out of nowhere and are right in Stevens
face.
IAN
Hey Steve did you hear? Huh did
you? Did you?
Hear what?

STEVEN

IAN
What! So you havent heard.
STEVEN
Heard what!?
KYLE
Apparently theres a woman going
around smashing into a bunch of
kids with her bike.
ROSA
Its getting pretty serious the
teachers have been informing all of
our parents about it.
KYLE
Yeah and rumor has it she leaves
some kind of mark on her victims.
Mark.

STEVEN

ROSA
What kind of mark?
Rosa looks at Steven.
IAN
Its the mark of the demon!
STEVEN
Yeah what ever.
IAN
Hey whats that.

STEVEN
Its nothing!
Steven covers his band-aid with his hand.
IAN
Not that! That!
Ian points at a hickey mark on Stevens neck.
KYLE
Looks like a hickey dude.
Ian and Rosa look shocked.
ROSA
What let me see.
Rosa goes to get a closer look. Steven moves away.
STEVEN
Get away from me.
Rosa looks disappointed.
IAN
Whos been smooching you Steve?
ROSA
Yeah spill it!
Kyle looks at Steven calm as if he knows who did it.
KYLE
To leave a mark like that it must
have been pretty rough.
Shut up!

STEVEN

IAN
Smooch! Smooch! Smooch!
CUT TO:
INT. STEVENS BEDROOM-NIGHT
Its after school and Steven is sitting by his desk doing
homework.
He cant stop thinking about Megan.

STEVEN
Who is she?
There is a call from down stairs its Stevens dad Mr.
Campbell (45) very short brown hair, tanned skin, kind of
chubby. Smells like he tries to hard.
MR. CAMPBELL
Stevie dinners ready.
Steven gets up and walks down for dinner.
CUT TO:
INT. HALLWAY-NIGHT
Steven is walking towards the dining room.
STEVEN
Theres no need to worry about her.
Steven walks into the dining room.
CUT TO:
INT. DINING ROOM-NIGHT
The dining room is small there is a table and some pictures
on the wall.
At the table sits Mr. Campbell, his GRANDPA (68) short white
hair, chubby, wearing a sweater vest and pants. Also sitting
at the table is Megan.
STEVEN
Ahh! What is she doing here.
MR. CAMPBELL
Stevie why are you shouting.
MEGAN
Oh hey Stevie.
MR. CAMPBELL
Stevie you two know each other?
STEVEN
Well not really.
Megan shoots up and goes over to Steven. She starts rubbing
all over him.

MEGAN
Stevie and I have a nice intimate
relationship.
Mr. Campbell Looks at them with a look of sadness.
Really?

MR. CAMPBELL

MEGAN

STEVEN

Steven gives Megan a dirty look and pushes her away. Megan
looks confused.
STEVEN
How do you two know each other?
Steven sits down at the table.
MR. CAMPBELL
I was walking home and she ran her
bike right into me. It felt like
cupids arrow.
Mr. Campbell spaces out into a day dream.
GRANDPA
Should have killed him.
STEVEN
SO YOU DECIDE TO INVITE HER OVER!
MEGAN
Of course, he took the hit like a
man.
Mr. Campbell snaps out of his daze.
MR. CAMPBELL
Well Megan felt so bad she asked if
she could make it up to me. You
know how bad we need a maid.
STEVEN
But shes a criminal going around
hitting kids with her bike. Wait
If she only hits kids why she hit
you? Wait Megan?
GRANDPA
What in gods name are you talking
about?

MR. CAMPBELL
He has a point you know.
Whatever.

STEVEN

Megan crawls over to Steven.

MEGAN
Whats the matter Stevie.
Megan puts her hand on his thigh and gets uncomfortably close
to his face.
Steven starts to panic.
MEGAN (CONTD)
Dont you like this. You do it with
you friend.
Her hand starts to creep closer to his crouch.
MEGAN (CONTD)

STEVEN

Mr. Campbell gets serious.

MR. CAMPBELL
Hey! There will be none of that at
the dinner table.
Mr. Campbells serious face goes to happy and puts his hands
on his face. He has stars in his eyes.
MR. CAMPBELL (CONTD)
Unless its with me.
Steven Kicks his Dad in the face.
STEVEN
Im taking a shower.
CUT TO:
INT. BATHROOM-NIGHT
Steven is in the shower. In the background you can here Mr.
Campbell, Grandpa and Megan all energetic having a good time.
Steven looks mad.

STEVEN
Theyre more lively then usual.
CUT TO:
INT. STEVENS BEDROOM-NIGHT
Steven walks in wearing his pajamas and with a towel around
his shoulder. He sees Megan in there sitting at his desk,
talking on her cell phone. Megan gets off the phone.
Steven is shocked to see her in is room.
Hi there.

MEGAN

His shock is turned to anger.

STEVEN
You should ask before you come into
my room you know.
MEGAN
Yeah whatever. So how do you feel?
Steven turns and walks over to his bed.
STEVEN
Why do you care?
Steven lays on his bed facing the wall.
Megan walks over and lays down next to Steven and whispers
in his ear.
MEGAN
Thats just it I care.
Steven shoots up out of his bed and hits his head on the top
bunk. Steven looks as if hes in pain. He starts rubbing his
head.
STEVEN
Why do you do that?
Do what?

MEGAN

Steven stares at Megan with a angry look.

MEGAN (CONTD)
Oh! Do that, well I dont know
because I like to I guess. Its who
I am you know.
Steven looks away from Megan.
STEVEN
Why are you here, really?
MEGAN
Because I need a place to stay.
STEVEN
Tell the truth.
Megan has a smirk on her face.
MEGAN
Ive been searching for someone.
STEVEN
Who? My dad?
MEGAN
Nope. But I do like him.
Steven looks angry
STEVEN
If you like him so much why dont
you stay with him.
Megan looks a little sad.
MEGAN
Because, (beat) your the one I hit
first.
Steven looks at Megan, gets out of bed, sets his alarm clock.
STEVEN
You can have the top.
Megan gets off his bed as Steven gets into his bed. She
walks over to the door and puts her finger on the light
switch.
Megan looks over at Steven and smiles.
She turns the lights off.
CUT TO:

14.
INT. STEVENS BEDROOM-NIGHT
Its night Megan is snoring on the top bunk. Steven gets out
of bed to go to the bathroom.
CUT TO:
INT. BATHROOM-NIGHT
Steven opens the door, turns on the lights and sees his Dad
sitting on the toilet taking a shit.
Steven is startled and closes the door, but before he can
shut it.
MR. CAMPBELL
Wait Stevie, we need to talk.
STEVEN
Um well we can talk after.
MR. CAMPBELL
We can talk now. Come back in.
Steven slowly walks back into the bathroom looking very
uncomfortable.
Steven looks at his Dad.
STEVEN
What you wanna talk about.
MR. CAMPBELL
Its about Megan.
Mr. Campbell looks at Steven and then at the ground.
MR. CAMPBELL (CONTD)
Please Stevie sit down.
Steven sits down slowly, he still looks uncomfortable.
MR. CAMPBELL (CONTD)
Your not to happy about her living
here with us are you?
STEVEN
Shes your guest you can do
whatever you want.
Mr. Campbell gets a big smile on his face.

MR. CAMPBELL
Your turning into such a mature boy
Stevie.
There is an awkward pause neither of them are making eye
contact.
MR. CAMPBELL (CONTD)
Do you think you can convince Megan
to wanna sleep in my bedroom
tomorrow.
STEVEN
Im going to wait outside.
Steven gets up and walks outside.
MR. CAMPBELL
Come now Stevie dont be greedy. We
should rotate days.
Steven closes the door on him before he can finish his line.
FADE TO:
INT. STEVENS BEDROOM-DAY
Its the next day Steven wakes up to the sound of his alarm
clock.
He slowly gets out of bed.
MEGAN
Ahh! Shut that damn thing off.
Megan pulls the covers over her face.
Steven looks at the alarm clock and walks out of the room.
As Steven walks out of the room he hears a loud smash. He
opens the door back up and sees Megan still in her bed
however, the alarm clock has been destroyed.
STEVEN
What did you do that for!
MEGAN
Thats what you get for being a
Dick.
STEVEN
Your not a morning person are you?

MEGAN
You guessed it lover boy.
Steven looks at Megan angry and then walks out of his room.
CUT TO:
INT. BATHROOM-DAY
Steven is just about done his shower when he hears his father
call him from downstairs.
MR. CAMPBELL
Stevie, there is a girl at the door
for you.
Steven turns the shower off an steps out.
CUT TO:
INT. FRONT DOOR-DAY
Steven walks down the stairs and sees Dad talking to
Marissa.
MR. CAMPBELL
Oh Stevie, why didnt you tell me
you were friends with such a pretty
girl.
Steven walks over to Marissa and his Dad.
STEVEN
You dont need to know everything
about my life.
MR. CAMPBELL
Oh thats Stevie for you.
Mr. Campbell leans over to Marissa.
MR. CAMPBELL (CONTD)
Always keeping secrets.

MARISSA

Mr. Campbell leans over to Steven.

MR. CAMPBELL
Isnt that right Stevie.

Then Megan appears next to Steven.
MEGAN
Keeping secrets hey Stevie?
Steven not expecting to see Megan jumps.
STEVEN
Ahh! Dont sneak up on me like
that!
Marissa looks at Megan confused.
MEGAN
Stevie isnt that the lady that hit
you.
MR. CAMPBELL
Stevie you got hit too?
MEGAN
He sure did.
Mr. Campbell looks disappointed.
MR. CAMPBELL
But I thought I was special.
MARISSA
Why is she here.
Marissa looks mad.
STEVEN
Well you see.
MR. CAMPBELL
Shes our maid!
MARISSA
So shes living here now?
Mr. Campbell cuts her off.
MR. CAMPBELL
Living here? Yes.
MEGAN
Thats right. Stevie and I are
living together.
Megan leans in closer to Marissa.

MEGAN (CONTD)
We even sleep in the same room.
Marissa looks shocked.
MR. CAMPBELL
Which reminds me Megan. How about
sleeping in my room tonight Stevie
and I have already talked it over.
MEGAN
No, I like sleeping with Stevie.
Megan walks up to Steven and starts rubbing his body.
Marissa and Mr. Campbell both look at the sight in complete
shock.
STEVEN
Let go of me.
Why?

MEGAN

Megan gets closer to Steven and starts to mimic the position

that Marissa and Steven were in the other day.
MEGAN (CONTD)
I just love being all close to
Stevie like this.
Marissa starts to look angry with a hint of sadness.
Steven pushes Megan off of him.
STEVEN
Come on Marissa lets go.
MARISSA
Bye Mr. Campbell.
Bye Maria.

MR. CAMPBELL

Marissa and Steven walk out of the house. Mr. Campbell and
Megan watch as they walk away.
Grandpa enters.
GRANDPA
I think you said her name wrong.
Mr. Campbell looks shocked and turns to Grandpa.

MR. CAMPBELL
What! Oh no!
Megan continues to look at Marissa and Steven walking away.
CLOSE UP ON MEGAN.
CUT TO:
EXT. BRIDGE-DAY
Steven and Marissa walk on the bridge. Steven still looks
upset, Marissa looks like she has something on her mind she
wants to talk but doesnt know if she should.
MARISSA
So, do you like living with her?
STEVEN
What, no Megans crazy. Shes
annoying and childish.
Marissa smiles.
MARISSA
Yeah, thats what I thought. (Beat)
I dont like her either. (Beat) and
maybe she shouldnt sleep in your
room either. Or maybe, you know you
could come over.
Steven stops walking, Marissa passes him not noticing as
shes talking. Marissa stops talking when she notices Steven
stopped walking. She starts walking back towards him.
Stevie?

MARISSA (CONTD)

Steven looks angry as if hes about to erupt in anger.

STEVEN
LETS JUST STOP TALKING ABOUT HER
OKAY!?
Marissa stops walking and looks scared for a second startled
by his shouting. Her fear then turns to sadness, she takes
out a cigarette and lights it.
Steven walks passed her.

STEVEN (CONTD)
I told you not to smoke when youre
with me.
Marissa still looks sad and takes the cigarette out of her
mouth.
MARISSA
Oh... yeah sorry.
She drops the cigarette on the ground.
Steven stops walking.
STEVEN
So, are you going to school or are
you staying here.
Marissa doesnt move.
STEVEN (CONTD)
Thats what I thought.
Steven walks away.
Marissa still stands there looking at Steven walk away.
CLOSE UP ON THE CIGARETTE BUTT.
CUT TO:
EXT. FRONT OF MIDDLE SCHOOL-DAY
Steven about fifty feet from the front door is startled when
a woman surprises him from behind. He jumps and turns to see
its Rosa. He continues walking with her.
STEVEN
Holy, you scared me! I thought you
were.
Steven cuts himself off.
ROSA
Thought I was who?
STEVEN
What? Never mind. How are you?
Rosa looks shocked by the question not expecting him to ask.
She then smiles.

ROSA
Well Im tired, I missed breakfast
so I'm also hungry, and I think
Grandmother flow has come to town.
STEVEN
What? Whos that?
ROSA
Um never mind I shouldnt have even
said that.
STEVEN
What!? Tell me!
Rosa giggles.
ROSA
Steve you really are an idiot.
STEVEN
Hey! No Im not!
Steven and Rosa then enter the school.
CUT TO:
INT. MIDDLE SCHOOL CLASSROOM-DAY
Steven and Rosa walk in together, Rosa has a big smile on her
face.
Ian and Kyle see them walk in they look at each other and
then back at them.
Rosa then gives Steven a band-aid.
ROSA
Here (beat) for your neck.
Steven touches his neck and then looks embarrassed. He grabs
the band-aid out of her hand and peels it open.
ROSA (CONTD)
Here let me help.
Rosa puts the band-aid on his neck soothingly Steven and Rosa
stare at each other for a second.
Ian and Kyle walk up towards Steven and Rosa.

IAN
Well (beat) maybe it was Rosa that
gave you the hickey, hey Steve.
Rosa blushes as Steven replys immediately.
STEVEN
Ian, shut up.
KYLE
Yeah theres no way it was Rosa.
ROSA
Oh yeah, I could give someone a
hickey whenever I want.
Rosa gets embarrassed at what she said. She looks to the
ground as Kyle gets closer to her.
KYLE
Oh yeah, well then why dont you
give me one.
Ian comes between the two of them.
IAN
Guys this is math class not pervert
class.
KYLE
Hey tell it to Rosa.
IAN
So Rosa are you huh, huh.

ROSA

IAN

Rosa looks completely embarrassed.

STEVEN

MRS. WINDDECKER

The entire class looks at the teacher. MRS.WINDDECKER (34)
long black hair tided up in a bun. Shes wearing white shirt
with jeans, looks angry then she smacks on a smile.
MRS. WINDDECKER (CONTD)
Now everyone sit down and shut up.
CUT TO:
EXT. FRONT OF MIDDLE SCHOOL-DAY
School has ended. Steven, Rosa, Kyle and Ian are all walking
out of the school together talking among themselves.
Steven notices Marissa in front of him she appears to be
waiting for him.
Steven looks confused and walks over towards her.
Um Steve?

ROSA

IAN
Hey Where you going.
Steven continues walking towards Marissa as if he doesnt
here them talking.
STEVEN
Hey what are you doing here.
MARISSA
I was walking passed and I thought
Id say hi. Hi.
STEVEN
You know people might get the wrong
idea seeing you here with me.
MARISSA
No they wont.
ROSA
Who is that girl?
KYLE
Her? Thats Steves wife.
Rosa looks at kyle shocked.

Wife! So shes the one who gave him
the hickey.
ROSA
She looks way older then us.
KYLE
Yeah shes in high school, might
even be graduating Im not sure.
ROSA
Thats bizarre. Wait how do you
know her?
KYLE
Well whenever I walk home I always
see them hanging out. Shes usually
all over him. Like that.
Kyle points to Steven and Marissa as Marissa is all over
Steven.
Rosa looks upset.
IAN
So, shes the pervert!
Ian starts staring at Steven and Marissa.
Rosa turns and walks away.
Kyle then follows.
Ian still stares.
MARISSA
Whos that?
Steven turns and sees Ian.
STEVEN
See I told you people would get the
wrong idea.
MARISSA
Oh well. Lets go chief. I dont
