Web based interface for BIM
? Autodesk Revit model is exported to a dwf format, which also
includes data related to each object in the model.
? The dwf model is embedded into html framework using Adobe
Dreamweaver.
? Each object within the dwf model has a unique “Object ID”, with the
help of this object ID the objects can be linked to perform almost any
action within the html framework.
? In the example below the object, that is a glass panel in the curtain
wall is linked to the page of the curtain wall manufacturers website
showing the specification of the specific type of curtain wall system.
? Similarly every object can be linked to an action that would provide
more information about the object, like technical specification,
assembly details, etc.

which can be accessed using Microsoft Access.
? Queries are created in Microsoft Access to obtain information
from the model database.
? The objects in the dwf model in this case is linked to actions
which extract information from the Access Database with the help
of the queries created.
? In the example below, when the user clicks on the door the box
below gets populated with the query which provides information
about the door.
? The result of the query is displayed in the box on the right which
displays information regarding the type of door, the level it is
located at and the count of that type of doors on each level.
