MARAUDER
MULTI-ROLE, HIGHLY
AGILE MINE-PROTECTED
ARMOURED VEHICLE.

Its been called the Worlds

most unstoppable vehicle
by Top Gear UK
Multi-role platform
Independently verified and
tested for blast protection
Double-skin spaced armour
providing superb ballistic
protection
Proven reliable drivelines
in-service

CONFIGURATION

The Marauder is an extremely flexible and agile battlefield tool

with outstanding mine and ballistic protection. It accommodates
a crew of two in the front plus eight fully equipped soldiers in the
rear. Marauder can be configured as a simple armoured personnel
carrier or as an effective wheeled combat vehicle by the addition
of appropriate weapon systems, making it ideal for conventional
and unconventional missions.
Marauder can be supplied in standard or stretched versions
which offer extra space to carry more troops and extra stores.
There are different driveline options available depending on the
client preference. The vehicle can be reconfigured in a modular
manner to meet the specific threat faced in day-to-day operations.
Cost effective Commercial off-the-Shelf (COTS) components
and assemblies from volume manufacturers reduce the cost of
ownership and increase the reliability of the vehicle throughout
its service life.

FIREPOWER
TO SUIT A
RANGE OF
MISSIONS

All of Paramounts vehicles can be fitted with

a weapon system. Marauder can accommodate
a wide range of weapons systems ranging from a
7.62 mm machine gun on a simple pintle mount,
right up to heavy machine guns of 12.7 mm or
14.5 mm calibre, to remotely operated overhead
weapon stations mounted with anti-tank missiles.
Turret designs and capabilities will vary according
to customer requirements including the calibre
of the weapon system and whether the system
is mechanically operated, electrically driven, or
even a remotely operated weapon station. A range
of further enhancements can be integrated to
include missile systems and defensive aids suites.

MOBILITY

The Marauder is rugged, robust and offers

outstanding cross-country agility. With reserves
of power in hand, it is able to cross all types of
terrain at speed. It can be airlifted (C130 and
Chinook) with little preparation and provides
excellent strategic mobility.
Designed to handle up to 4 500 kg payload,
the Marauder offers outstanding flexibility in
the choice of weapons and mission specific
equipment. With the ability to carry extra fuel
tanks, water and combat supplies it can be
deployed for long-range patrol or quick
reaction force operations. Day/night vision
devices and extra sensors can be fitted to
provide 24/7 operability.

With reserves of power in hand it is able

to cross all types of terrain at speed.

PROTECTION

All of Paramount Groups armoured vehicles

are designed to provide the best possible
protection, ensuring optimum survivability
for the crew. The Marauder is independently
proven to offer mine protection up to 8 kg
TNT (STANAG 4569 level 3b) anywhere under
the hull and 14 kg TNT (greater than STANAG
4569 level 4a) for a blast under any wheel.
It is fitted with a double-skinned spaced
armour hull throughout the cabin and crew
compartment to protect it against kinetic
attack up to STANAG 4569 level 3 and 50 kg
IED explosions. Additional armour can be
added to protect against specific threats
such as RPG and increased kinetic attack
up to STANAG 4569 level 4.
Specially designed anti-blast seats prevent
injury from the extreme acceleration of a side
blast or a mine blast under the hull.

Additional armour can be added to protect

against specific threats such as RPG.

VARIANTS

APC

Armoured Ambulance

A 10-seat (driver, commander plus eight) multirole armoured and mine protected vehicle
capable of fulfilling a wide range of operational
missions with an equally wide range of payload,
seating and weapon choices, Marauder can be
field reconfigured to meet mission-specific
requirements.

The Marauder armoured ambulance is fitted with

a full field ambulance suite, which includes two
stretchers and seating for two combat medics
and two sitting patients. Comprehensive onboard
emergency medical equipment includes full
emergency first aid equipment and supplies, a
ventilator/resuscitator, oxygen supply, IV tracks
and secure storage for all medical items.

With a payload of 4 500 kg, Marauders flexibility

is enhanced by its capacity to accommodate
substantial additional protection against IEDs
and other threats and additional fuel and water to
enable long-range and long duration operations.
While primarily a military vehicle, the Marauder
APC is eminently suitable for applications in the
peacekeeping, paramilitary and law enforcement
environments while it can also be readily
reconfigured as an emergency ambulance with
two field stretchers.

The ambulance is ideally suited for so-called hot

extraction of patients in mine-threatened and
other hostile environments where its high levels
of passenger comfort and off-road capabilities
are of particular importance; especially where
on-road driving poses a high risk.
In military configuration the ambulance is fitted
with reversible or retractable markings, while for
peacekeeping and other non-war operations,
it can be fitted with the required markings,
emergency lights and siren.

Anti-armour Fire Support Vehicle

Command Vehicle

Infantry Fire Support Vehicle

The Marauder Anti-Armour Fire Support

Vehicle (AAFSV) is fitted with an anti-tank
missile launching remote weapon station
for the protection of infantry units against
armour threats. The system has full day/
night capability with ranges up to 5 000 m
and is fitted with a 12.7mm co-axial machine
gun for close protection.

The Marauder Command Variant is

equipped with a full command suite to
client specifications, which includes
communications and other electronic
equipment. Optional additional facilities
include an auxiliary power unit, command
post side tent, telescopic mast and others.
Command stations within the vehicle
include workstations, communications
interfaces and appropriate seating without
adversely affecting protection, mobility
and other attributes.

The Marauder Fire Support Vehicle (IFSV) is a

standard APC reconfigured for this role and fitted
with a 12.7 mm or 14.5 mm heavy machine gun
in a manned one-man turret or remote weapon
station. In both systems the weapon operator is
under armour.

Full command facilities are available while

the vehicle is static or on the move while
command post facilities such as the tent
can be rapidly deployed and folded away.

The IFSV can be deployed at various levels in

the unit to augment the fire power of other
APCs, which may only be fitted with smaller
calibre weapons.

While the Marauders ample transparent

armour offers wide fields of view for target
location and identification, the missiles are
remotely launched allowing engagement
from hull-down positions.

The weapon system includes a day/night video

camera and sight for observation and for target
identification, acquisition and engagement.
Accuracy and first round hit capability is enhanced
through the provision of a laser range finder.
