Quotes for Reflection:

We shall have no reconstructed world without reconstructed individuals, and in the remaking of human life in the
direction of changed attitudes and acts, prayer has a major
place . . . Prayer is the surest road to peace in the inner life
. . for changing what can be changed, prayer as a source of
guidance and strength is an indispensable support.

CALL TO WORSHIP
Cheryl Lowrie
This is a holy space and a sacred time,
not because God is here in any different way
God is no different in this place than anywhere else This is a holy space and a sacred time,
because we are here in a special way in this space and time
all of who we are is welcome
This is a holy space and a sacred time,
so bring the broken, darkest parts of youthe parts which strive to be beautiful
and those which are nothing but flawed put them next to mine
as together, in this holy space and sacred time,
we let them be shaped by God.
This is a holy space and a sacred time
Welcome to worship.

OPENING TO GOD
Fr. Richard Rohr
God For Us, we call You Father, Mother, Creator
God Alongside Us, we call You Jesus, Christ, Word-made-flesh
God Within Us, we call You Holy Spirit, sacred breath, divine wind
You are the Eternal Mystery
That enables, enfolds, and enlivens all things,
Even us, and even me.

Every name falls short of your Goodness and Greatness.

We can only see who You are in what is.
We ask for such perfect seeing.

TEHILLIM

Psalm 126

UMH 847, resp. 1

NEVIIM
Isaiah 49:13-16
Sing for joy, O heavens, and exult, O earth;
break forth, O mountains, into singing!
For the Lord has comforted his people,
and will have compassion on his suffering ones.
But Zion said, The Lord has forsaken me,
my Lord has forgotten me.
Can a woman forget her nursing child,
or show no compassion for the child of her womb?
Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you.
See, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are continually before me.

Therefore do not worry, saying, What will we eat? or What will

we drink? or What will we wear? For it is the Gentiles who strive
for all these things; and indeed your heavenly Father knows that you
need all these things. But strive first for the kingdom of God and his
righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of
its own. Todays trouble is enough for today.
Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness
and all these things shall be added unto you, Allelu, Alleluia

OFFERING & DOXOLOGY

GOSPEL LESSON
Matthew 6:25-34
Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness
and all these things shall be added unto you, Allelu, Alleluia
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat
or what you will drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not
life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness
and all these things shall be added unto you, Allelu, Alleluia
Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather
into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of
more value than they? And can any of you by worrying add a single
hour to your span of life? And why do you worry about clothing?
Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness
and all these things shall be added unto you, Allelu, Alleluia
Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor
spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like
one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive
today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more
clothe youyou of little faith?
Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness
and all these things shall be added unto you, Allelu, Alleluia
