It is mandatory for candidate applying for PC Scheme or Army Reserved seats in UETs to
appear in NUST entry test and also apply for admission in minimum two engineering
disciplines in NUST.
Candidate interested for UETs, apart from applying in NUST on open merit must also apply
in UET of his/her province of domicile which makes him / her eligible for all UETs across the
country.
PC and Army Reserved Seats in UETs are allocated by W & R Dte based on the merit of a
candidate in NUST Entry Test.

Choices of Discipline once given by the candidate will not be changed. A candidate, who is
NOT serious in pursuing a career in a certain discipline MUST NOT give it as a 3 rd, 4th, 5th
(and so on) choice, ESPECIALLY for the Open Merit Seat(s) of NUST. If selected for such a
discipline on open merit, he/she will not be considered for any discipline in PC Scheme or
Army Reserved Seat in a Civil Engineering University.
Up-gradation of discipline as per given order of priority against the vacant seats shall be
undertaken without prior information. The process shall continue till finalization of the
admissions. Refusal to accept upgraded discipline at a later stage will result in cancellation
of nomination. However, option to withdraw from willingness of up-gradation can be
exercised once only on receipt of first nomination letter. To exercise this option candidate
shall forward UNWILLING CERTIFICATE as per specimen to be received with
nomination letter in writing within due date specified in nomination letter to W & R Dte
which will be irrevocable.
A surety bond for voluntary military service in the Army for three years on stamp paper of
Rs 100.00 will be provided. Specimen is attached. NO APPLICATION WILL BE
PROCESSED WITHOUT BOND. Not required for those, who apply only for UETs.
Forms should be filled without any overwriting / cutting, usage of fresh form be resorted to
in case of any such error.
Please read the instructions carefully before filling the form. You may like to retain a photo
copy of the form for future reference.
b.
Last date for receipt of application form in AGs Branch W & R Dte (WR-4), GHQ
Rawalpindi is 18 June 2013. A candidate who has appeared or is appearing in his/her
annual FSc or equivalent examination during 2013 can apply for admission. Candidates are
required to forward one attested photo copy of their FSc marks sheet or equivalent to
GHQ, W & R Dte (WR - 4) within seven days on announcement of their annual result,
otherwise their cases will not be processed further.
All candidates will submit a hard copy of application form. Applications received through
OAS will not be processed. Application should be submitted through Pak Post mail.
Application mailed through private courier is not received at GHQ.

Availability of Application Form. GHQ's prescribed application forms are available with all
Corps Headquarters, Station Headquarters, Army School of Instructions, District Armed Services Boards
(DASBs) and W&R Dte (WR-4) Gate No. 3, GHQ Rawalpindi and on OAS. Photo copy of the form is
also acceptable.

Candidate who is nominated for admission on open merit (based on NUST entry test or
SAT) in any Engineering Discipline in NUST shall remain ineligible for PC scheme and UET
during the year of applying.
c.
Candidate nominated as PC/ASC in any discipline in NUST/UET (for Army reserved seat in
UETs) is ineligible for the subsequent years admission. However, cancellation by GHQ due
to selection on open merit will not affect eligibility for admission in PC Scheme as well as
UETs.
Candidate selected as Technical Cadet.

Candidate applying against Army Reserved Seats in UETs of the country and failing to
qualify the entry test of concerned Engineering University of their province of domicile.

Candidate, who has applied only for one discipline in Engineering on open merit in NUST/
UETs as well as against PC Scheme. Computer Science will not be considered as second
discipline being non Engineering Subject (ref Para 27b).
h.
Candidate declared medically unfit (as per NUST laid down requirement for detail ref to
NUST prospectus).
i.
Children of those Army personnel who have been weeded out from service on disciplinary
grounds (due to fault).
j.
Children of those ex-servicemen who have not rendered pensionable service / not drawing
pension. This condition is not applicable to those who died while in service or medically
boarded out.
k.
l.
Children of those Army personnel whose retirement period exceed 25 years on the closing
date of applications by GHQ.
Adopted/dependent children and other relatives of serving/retired Army personnel.

22.
Suppression / Falsification of Information. In case any information is suppressed or falsified
and it is revealed later, at any stage, it will make the candidate liable for necessary disciplinary
action/withdrawal etc at any stage of their studies. No representation at any forum will be acceptable.

Female Candidate. Apart from Army Reserved Seats in Civil UETs, only 8 x seats (4 x for Serving
and 4x for Retired) are reserved for female candidates against PC Scheme i.e. Electrical Engg-2, Cptr
Engg-2, Telecommunication Engg-2 and Computer Software Engg-2.

No amendment / change of any kind will be made in the application form at any stage once
submitted to GHQ. Moreover, change of subject / discipline will not be acceptable at any
stage after the admission.
Candidate will only be considered and upgraded for those disciplines for which he/she has
applied.
Selection On Open Merit. The candidate is required to intimate AGs Branch, W&R
Dte(WR-4), GHQ Rawalpindi about selection on open merit as soon as possible after
declaration of Open Merit Results of NUST/Regular Technical Cadets and UET of
respective province, failing which case for admission will not be considered.
All eligible wards of Shuhada and Op Disabled (ref Para 15 & 16) are given admission
subject to availability of seats against Army Reserved Seats, on merit.
All terms & conditions spelled out in SPAO 3/86 will be applicable for allocation of seats in
PC Scheme.
Admission in PNEC/CAE. The candidate interested in option of admission in PNEC/CAE
must apply separately on application form (Anx C of SPAO 3/86). The admission notice for
PNEC/CAE is issued separately.
PNEC/CAE admissions will be finalized before PC scheme and anyone selected for these
two institutions will not be eligible for PC scheme (NUST Army constituent colleges).
Therefore, candidates who are interested in PC scheme only, should not apply for
PNEC/CAE.
Students of Military Colleges can only apply for PC scheme after obtaining NOC from
respective college before submission of forms.
No application form will be entertained without documents mentioned in Para 26.
Wards of those Army personnel whose LPR terminates before the date of inviting
applications (last date) will be considered in Retired category and same category be
reflected by the applicant in Para 9 of the form.
Selection Criteria. NUST selection criteria for calculation of merit for PC Scheme is as under:a.

Fee Concession/Subsidy/Scholarship. Fee concession/subsidy/scholarship to Army wards
(Lt Col & below) selected on open merit/ PC/Additional Selected Cadet is provided in Military Constituent
Colleges of NUST only i.e. College of E&ME, MCS, MCE, PNEC & CAE. If selected in Non Military
constituent Colleges of NUST, will not be entitled for subsidy/scholarship from W&R Dte. Due
discretion must be used while giving the choices of discipline codes / college in NUST form.
30.
Change in Postal Address and Contact Numbers. The responsibility of intimation of change in
postal address / contact number to W & R Dte lies with the candidate. Non intimation of such changes
may deprive the candidate from seeking admission in the PC scheme for which this Directorate will not be
responsible.

SERVICE IN THE ARMY FOR THREE YEARS AS CAPT THROUGH SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION
AFTER COMPLETION OF DEGREE

voluntarily and willingly hereby bind ourselves and each of us and heirs, executors and administrators to
pay on demand to the President of Pakistan (hereinafter called the President) all the charges as laid down
in the relevant Army Instruction as amended from time to time and the sum as indicated in Phase-I and II
below if the trainee, after having been selected as cadet undergoes training at PMA/ Training Institution
and as commissioned officer resigns subject to its acceptance by the President, while he is under training
at PMA/ Training Institution after being appointed as an officer in Army Technical Corps after successfully
completion of Bachelor of Engineering Degree will serve for a period of three years as commissioned
officer.
2.
I, also hereby undertake willingly and voluntarily that after having been selected as Paying or
Additional Selected Cadets in Army Technical Colleges, and on successful completion of degree program/
examination of Bachelor of Engineering, shall undergo prescribed training at PMA/ Training Institution and
shall serve for a period of 3 years as commissioned officer.
PHASE-I
WHILE UNDER TRAINING AT PMA

Note: Rupees 2 Lac shall be applicable to the candidates only, who had signed the bond before
year 2013 i.e for the entry 2011 - 2012
PHASE II
FROM THE TIME OF GETTING TEMPORARY COMMISSION UNTIL COMPLETION OF THREE
YEARS COMMISSIONED SERVICE
I also undertake that in case of successful training at PMA/ Training Institution, I do not serve a
prescribed period for 3 years as mentioned above due to my own negligence/ failing, I shall deposit
amount as indicated below:a.

If any serious disease is diagnosed in a cadet then the cadet will be withdrawn from
the military, subject to the recommendation of a medical board.
It will be investigated whether the cadet/officer had prior knowledge about the
disease or not.
In case it is established that cadet/officer had a previous knowledge then he will be
made to pay all the training charges. Necessary disciplinary action will also be
initiated against him. A time bar on the issue of his degree (maximum of 3 years)
may as well be imposed.

3.
Bachelor of Engineering Degree. The Bachelor of Engineering Degree, earned by the successful
cadets after completion of degree course at the college will be forwarded to the respective Directorate for
safe custody.
4.
Now the condition of the above written bond is that if the trainee:a.
Faithfully and truly conforms to and obey the instructions given to him by or on behalf of the
President from time to time and all times in Pakistan Military Academy.
b.
Earns good reports regarding his studies, conduct and behaviour during the laid down
duration of training.
c.
After passing the Bachelor of Engineering Degree examination, join PMA for six months
military training when ordered to do so by a competent authority and then serves as
commissioned officer for a minimum period of three (3) years in the Pakistan Army then the
above written bond shall be void and of no effect; otherwise the same shall remain in full
force and virtue.
