The PT Cruiser Connection

Our Car Club members jumped right into the New Year by
meeting at Sergio's Mexican Restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga for some
great food, conversation, laughter. We were introduced to our new Club
President Ken Brownell. The Rancho Cucamonga PT Cruiser Cruisin’
Club Founder Alexander Mendoza described his agenda for this year.
Alex explained that Ken would be our primary contact regarding any
suggestions we might have for future cruises in addition to those that are
already in the works.
A week later, we were all together at Coco's for an ice cream get
together. The turnout was tremendous. Food, fun and laughter was had
by all. This was such a successful event that more ice cream get-
together’s planned in the future. Do try to make these events.
The Club's next adventure was to Griffith Park Observatory. The
cruise there included the 210 Freeway, then the 135 and before you knew
it, we were at the park enjoying such beautiful weather and clear skies.
We could see the Hollywood Sign in the near distance, and the beautiful
Los Angeles landscape.
Many of the members were busy taking some great shots of each
other and the great scenic views. We all joined together to learn about our
solar system and theories on how it all began. For many of us, this was
either our first trip to the Observatory or one in a very long time. From
there, we traveled to Northwood’s Inn on Azusa in West Covina for a great
afternoon. As always, we came together like a family sharing stories and
catching up on what is going on in our personal lives.
Our next cruise took us to the J. P. Getty Museum. For some the
architecture was the highlight of their visit, while others said it was the
panoramic views, including the Pacific Ocean. Visiting the Getty Museum
in itself was an experience not to be forgotten. From there, the club
members cruised to El Torito in Ontario where we drank our favorite
beverages and ate some very tasty foods. Rain or shine this club just
keeps on cruisin’.
Members! May I suggest that if you don't have your Club Decals
on your car yet please talk to Alex about getting a set. My PT Cruiser
proudly displays the Club's name. People notice our cars and they want to
be a part of the fun. When they see our club’s name whether it is in a
parking lot or on the street, in our neighborhood or on the road to our next
destination it is an easy way to make the connection when they do their
research on the internet.
The Club is going to grow and you will be the one making it
possible for others to know what we have. What we have is special and I
would love for others to share in this PT Cruiser Cruising Car Club
experience. Let's make the connection possible. Thank you.
