Parte I

a) Choose five words from the text that were new for you. Write them

particularly interesting/good?
E-mail and messaging, great calendar assist and make/receive calls

c) In his opinion, what are some of the drawbacks of this watch?

The fact that many collected data by the watch gets repeated over time, making it being
diminished.

d) If you had one, do you believe you would agree with what he has
mentioned? Why (not)?
Well, maybe. If the data keeps being repeated over time, it makes itself useless.
e) Do you know about another gadget which has raised lots of
expectation when it was launched but, then, did not reach them? Which
gadget is it? Why do you think it has happened?
Yes. Google Glass. Mainly because of its price (around $1100) and the long time it takes
to be announced.

2) You and your partner should create a brand new gadget and describe
it. Your description should cover:
iFreezer.

- what it looks like

A freezer.
- its functions
Analyze freezer content, and asks for it in the nearest market. Also does
analyze food validity and usage amount, as well if some food is not recommended
for you (containing gluten, cholesterol, etc.)
- its specifications
Well, it looks just like a freezer, but with Wi-Fi and bluetooth connections.
- some possible negative aspects
It uses a high amout of energy to works.
- an example of a marketing action
"Hey, look at this smart one freezer. It does look up into your fridge and
notificates when you are out of food"
- say if it could be used in a didactic/academic way
Well, I guess it can't.

Parte II
1) Speaking activity divided in three parts:
1st Presentation of all gadgets
2nd Discussion (questions and answers) in order to improve all of them
3rd Students should choose one of the gadgets to be launched and should
discuss the practical aspects involved in it.
2) Write a short text about your expectations on the gadget chosen to be
launched ans say how you think users will respond to it.
