Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (Filipino: Avenida Epifanio de los Santos), commonly referred to by

its acronym EDSA, is alimited-access circumferential freeway around Manila, the capital of
the Philippines. It is the main thoroughfare in Metro Manilapassing through 6 of the capital region's
17 local government units, namely, from north to south, Caloocan, Quezon City, San
Juan, Mandaluyong, Makati and Pasay.[1] The road links the North Luzon Expressway in Balintawak
in the north to the South Luzon Expressway at the Magallanes Interchange in the south, as well as
the major financial districts of Makati Central Business District, Ortigas Center and Araneta Center. It
is the longest and the most congested highway in the metropolis, stretching some 23.8 kilometres
(14.8 mi).
The entire road itself is a part of the Circumferential Road 4 system, a network of roads and bridges
that acts as the fourthbeltway for the City of Manila. The locations around the avenue were marked
with great economic and industrial growth, proven by the fact that all but 2 industrial centers in the
Metropolis are directly accessible from the thoroughfare. The decent economic growth of the areas
around the avenue adds a significant volume of traffic on the avenue, and in recent estimates, EDSA
handles an average of 316,345 cars daily,[2] and an average of 2.34 million vehicles go through
EDSA every day

On average, the general population spends over four and a half hours a day in front of
the tube, making TV watching one of the most common modern leisure activities. Is it
any wonder then that television advertising is also the most powerful form of
advertising?
Advertising on television allows you to show and tell a wide audience your business,
product, or service. It allows you to actually demonstrate the benefits of ownership. You
can show how your product or service works and how its packaged so prospective
customers will know what to look for at the point of sale. In advertising, it often takes
multiple touch points to effectively influence consumers purchasing behavior.
Television advertising has been a popular medium for large retailers ever since the TV
first began to appear in living rooms. With the arrival of cable television came lowered
production costs and the opportunity to reach smaller, more targeted markets, making it
a viable option for small to medium-size businesses as well.
To create an effective television ad, its first necessary to have a good script that
highlights a strong offer. Ads must also be effectively produced, and its for this reason

that its often better to enlist the services of an advertising agency, which can help you
create an entire campaign.
Some of the advantages to advertising your small business on television include the
following:

TV reaches a much larger audience than local newspapers and radio stations,
and it does so during a short period of time.

It reaches viewers when theyre the most attentive.

It allows you to convey your message with sight, sound, and motion, which can
give your business, product, or service instant credibility.

It gives you an opportunity to be creative and attach a personality to your

business, which can be particularly effective for small businesses that rely on
repeat customers.

Though user habits are rapidly changing, television advertising has long been considered the
most effective mass-market advertising format. The introduction of digital video recorders such
as TiVo, which allows viewers to skip advertisements, as well as the popularity of commercialfree cable channels, have begun to diminish the reach and effectiveness of TV advertising.

A true form of mobile advertising, radio is ancient yet unique, growing and
pervasive medium. Radio is able to penetrate our daily lives still of-limits to
other media like television, internet, print or outdoor. Radio is with its audience
when one wakes up in the morning, goes to jog, commutes to and from jobs,
at workstations and goes to bed. It can be broadcasted to highly targeted
audience. Commercial radio stations earn revenue by playing radio spots
ranging from few seconds to minutes. The format is evolving with time;

Advertising (or advertizing)[1][2][3] is a form of marketing communication used to persuade
an audience to take or continue some action, usually with respect to a commercial offering, or
political or ideological support.
In Latin, ad vertere means "to turn toward".[4] The purpose of advertising may also be to reassure
employees or shareholders that a company is viable or successful. Advertising messages are
usually paid for by sponsors and viewed via various old media; including mass media such as
newspaper, magazines, television advertisement, radio advertisement, outdoor advertising or direct
mail; or new mediasuch as blogs, websites or text messages.
Commercial advertisers often seek to generate increased consumption of
their products or services through "branding", which involves associating a product name or image
with certain qualities in the minds of consumers. Non-commercial advertisers who spend money to
advertise items other than a consumer product or service include political parties, interest groups,

religious organizations and governmental agencies. Nonprofit organizations may rely on free modes
of persuasion, such as a public service announcement (PSA).
