A FEW MYTHS BUSTED:

1. SITTING TOO CLOSE TO TV CAN DAMAGE YOUR

EYES:
This myth first came about in the Sixties, when the General
Electric Company revealed that an error in its manufacturing
process meant that its TVs were emitting excessive X-rays that
could be harmful if someone sat too close. Modern TVs,
however, do not emit harmful radiation. There is no greater
threat to your vision from sitting close to a TV as there is from
reading in dim light. The only problem is eyestrain from staring
at the same point for too long, but this isnt permanent.

7. CHEESE CAUSES NIGHTMARES:
This myth is popularized by Scrooge in Charles Dickens A
Christmas Carol, who blamed his nightmares on eating a crumb
of cheese before bed. However, a study volunteers by the British
Cheese Board in 2005 found no correlation between cheese and
nightmares.
Incredibly, they actually reported that different types of cheese
induced a particular type of pleasant dream. Lancashire cheese
caused dreams of work, Cheshire led to dreamless sleep and
Cheddar resulted in celebrity-filled dreams. These effects are
thought to be due to the presence of the amino acid tryptophan in
cheese, commonly linked to a decrease in stress. And no, Im not
making this up! BUSTED

10. YOUR BRAIN TAKES TEN MINUTES TO REALIZE
YOUR STOMACH IS FULL:

When you are eating, your brain will take about ten minutes to
notice change in the stomach. It detects this through measuring
insulin and blood sugar levels. If you eat slower, your body can
more readily cope with the intake of food and you will not eat
more than you should. TRUSTED
