I. Prayer at 6:00pm
II. Call to order at 6:30pm
III. Roll call – Curtis Carr, Tara Breeden, Mark Bordwine, Grant Long,
Rebecca Wilson, Terri Shaffer and Sheena Asconi
IV. Approval of minutes from last meeting – Motion made to approve last
meeting minutes, seconded and all in favor.

V. Executive Session
VI. Open Issues:
a) Treasurer Report (Tara)
• 09/10 Budget
• Review Financials for October
o Had a new Pre-K child enroll
o Financials for October, November & December
ƒ Total amounting of tuition coming in is $89,954.76
o $52,000 we owe in bills to date
o Plus $22,000 owed to JF Smith Group
o We are showing a total of $7,981.55 in all of the bank accounts
currently
o We have a PO Box set up at the Christiansburg Post office for
all invoices for the school to go into.
b) Facilities & Transportation (Chad)
• Nothing to report
c) Fund Raising Report (Grant)
• Motion made to pay $300.00 to Applebee’s for the Pancake breakfast
fundraiser. Seconded and all in favor.
• Working on next fundraisers with Cici’s Pizza and Chick-Fil-A
• Money from the Scratch off cards for the Playground is due in on
November 9th
d) Marketing Report (Rebecca)
• Marketing Christmas Fair
o Met with lady that is with the YMCA in Blacksburg. She gave
me great info on free advertising.
o In the process of getting the Christmas Fair info listed on all of
the free advertising spots.
e) Communications (Mark)
• PTF
• Working on getting website updated
 • Had first meeting with committee and they are working on the process
of how to set up communications
f) Vision & Strategy (Tim)
• Nothing to report
g) Academic Affairs Report (Sheena)
• Accreditation Goals
Teachers are working on English and History
h) Administrator’s Report (Sheena)
• A parent donated $835.00 in Marriott gift cards to cover the teacher’s
hotel rooms for ACSI. They also donated $100.00 in Olive Garden
gift cards to cover some of the dinner cost for the teachers.
• Have enough students now to open a K3 class November 2nd
o Have 5 to start on November 2nd
o Have 3 more to start January 4th
• Motion made to create a K3 class and hire (1) more Pre-K teacher.
Seconded and all in favor.
• Enrollment is 140
• We have a family of a 5th grader and a family of a 7th grader that is
interested in enrolling
• Have been approached by WSLS about an “Our Town” segment
• Need to set up a protocol regarding reporting facility issues, ie: broken
security lights, broken lights, lights out, etc.
• Mrs. Shelor is working out very well.
i) Capital Campaign (Curtis)
• Progress report
o Sending out email looking for people that would be interested
in becoming a part of the Capital Campaign planning
committee
j) Personnel Report (Terri)
• Nothing to report
