the Head of Department for an interview before the deadline.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SCHOLARSHIP / FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

1.

Applicants are required to pay all administration fees, course fees and external fees (if any) pending the
decision of the Scholarship Committee.

2.

For new students who have not joined HELP University / HELP Academy, a minimum payment of RM 250
of the Student Application Fee is required before the student is eligible to apply for scholarship / financial
assistance. Otherwise, the scholarship / financial assistance application is considered null and void.

3.

For students who have applied to join HELP for a chosen programme, he / she is expected to register during
the intake date and is required to pay all administration fees, course fees and external fees (if any) by
the last day of payment pending the decision of the Scholarship Committee. Otherwise, the scholarship /
financial assistance application is considered null and void.

4.

The scholarship / financial assistance is valid for studies at HELP only.

5.

The scholarship is not applicable for new international students (i.e non Malaysians). International students
may apply for scholarship only after completing at least one level/year of studies at HELP.

6.

The financial assistance is not applicable for all international students.

7.

The scholarship / financial assistance is not applicable for payment of re-sit / re-enrolment fees.

8.

For programmes where course fees are charged by the subject (modular programme), the total scholarship /
financial assistance amount is divided equally among the total number of subjects and will go towards
payment of course fees payable to HELP University College Sdn Bhd / HELP Academy Sdn Bhd.

9.

For programmes where course fees are charged by the year (linear programme), the total scholarship /
financial assistance amount will go towards payment of course fees payable to HELP University Sdn Bhd /
HELP Academy Sdn Bhd.

10. HELP reserves the right to revoke any scholarship / financial assistance due to failure in examinations,
withdrawal from programme before completion and / or non-compliance with the Rules and Regulations of
the college. Recipient will be required to repay the scholarship / financial assistance amount used upon
withdrawal.
11. With reference to Clause 10 above, recipients of the scholarship / financial assistance who are subsequently
found in breach of any of the rules and regulations, academic or otherwise, will have their scholarship /
financial assistance revoked and will be required to repay HELP the said sum of money.
12. All recipients of scholarship / financial assistance are required to contribute 3-5 hours per week of their time
to assist the Head of Department or their designate in administration, peer counselling, extra curricular
activities, marketing and promotional activities.
13. The closing dates for scholarship applications are 30 April and 30 September each year. For financial
assistance applications, applicants are required to submit by the latest, 15 April and 15 September in order
to facilitate the interview process.
14. The Scholarship Committee will meet in mid-May and mid-October each year to shortlist candidates for the
awards.
15. All decisions made by HELP on matters pertaining to the scholarship / financial assistance will be final.
16. Only short-listed applicants will be notified.
17. The qualifications required for the scholarship / financial assistance may vary from year to year. Applicants
are to check with the Scholarship Officer on the requirements before applying.
18. Late and incomplete application forms will not be considered for selection.
