On beating Felix Hernandez
Its obviously a tough night, and the first thing we talked about that you have to do is pitch with him. I think, even though
Nick [Tropeano] was on the edge a couple of times, we gave them some baserunners, once he got the lead he held it. Its
gonna be tough against Felix, hes always tough enough, but we pitched well enough to hold the lead.
On the development of rookie catcher Carlos Perez
Hes ready for the challenge. A youngster coming up in a pennant race, as much as the physical demands you see out
there playing tough games and catching guys who are not easy to catch, the mental part of calling the game is equally as
taxing. So, hes doing well, hes throwing well, hes catching well and calling a good game.
