The Brief in Detail PROFESSIONAL PROFILES (UNIT 38 The Music Freelance World)
The aim of this project is develop a public professional profile that will act as an employment tool, an outlet for your recordings, and a
portfolio site for UCAS applications. You will design and publish a Wix profile that will act as a marketing tool for yourself as a producer and
technician. Scenario: it is crucial that aspiring producers and music technicians understand the importance of marketing, and presenting
themselves as an attractive proposition to potential clients and employers.
TASKS; Your Wix website will include the following pages (you can add others if you wish);
Task 1: PAGE 1; HOME PAGE
This will require to you to select an appropriate design, background, and layout. You should ensure there is a continuity in design across all
pages (Unit 9 GC 2) (Unit 25 GC 2 & 3)
Task 2: PAGE 2; ABOUT ME
You will write a biography of a minimum of 500 words which highlights your skills, background and aspirations. How did you first become
interested in music/production? What skills have you gained at college? What skills have you gained outside of college? What
professions/jobs/careers do you wish to pursue in the future. This biography will form the basis of your UCAS personal statement.
Task 3; CV
This should be a production cv. This will mirror the look of a regular cv, however your work experience should include your production
experience from year 1 of your course and any other relevant experiences outside of college. No Sainsburys or Primark!
Task 3: MY RECORDINGS
Add the Soundcloud app and embed your recordings from year 1 and other relevant recordings.
