Executive Summary
Proof of Entrepreneurial Innovation and Thought Leadership 2000- 2013
This document provides an overview of Entrepreneurial initiatives taken by the Consultant Shubhadha Iyer (also
referred to as contributor or author). The impact and benefits of these initiatives is visible at
Corporate/Business and Entrepreneurial levels. Corresponding product or service descriptions are included here
and in the other document Achievements in Thought Leadership. This document will focus on the tangible
benefits and impact of Shubhadha Iyers ideas working in the Entrepreneurial mode.

Nature of Impact
Since 2002, Shubhadha Iyer has prepared several Business Plans and White Papers circulated among the
Entrepreneur Networks e.g. Entrepreneur and Alumni Networks, select Investor groups, online forums and in
general, viewable to the business community online. The series of eventsefforts made by the author and
movements in the same area, indicate these ideas were always strategically aligned with progressive Industry
trends e.g. the move to projects that do not require capital (which is the consultants latest effort since May
2012).
It can be inferred that the contributor played a key role to set high level trends, raised awareness of viable
business concepts, generated momentum for further growth, and in certain cases provided strategic direction
for other entrepreneurial groups e.g. AI software. Of the many concepts communicated during the past decade,
the following Table shows initiatives that stand out prominently from the Entrepreneurial viewpoint.
The following sections describe the authors contribution and then highlights the result of each effort.

Prepared plans to propose original products and services- in most cases with a clear headstart
Wrote extensively on ideas and concepts for products and services, raising awareness and
popularity as profitable ideas for Entrepreneurship

PRODUCT BASED ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SOFTWARE: Proposed in 2000an Expert Systems-based methodology and tool, for applications in
Troubleshooting, Diagnostics and Internal Technical Support. It would work at
Technical, Administrative and Operational levels. A Business Plan was first
prepared in 2000, circulated to prospective investor and entrepreneur networks
then re-formatted as a White paper, both published online.

May-June 2002

OUTSOURCED ANALYSIS SERVICES: A Business Plan was prepared in 2002. This

service aimed at taking up Analytical work from bigger projects. The service
category would specialize in taking over Analysis-intensive project tasks -- be it
technical, business, systems analysis, etc. applying structured and efficient
methodologies.

LITERARY WORK BASED ON ROAD TRANSPORT IN INDIA: This was a literary

creative project (Book/ Fiction) co-authored by the author who did the graphic
design, formatting, promotions and business research on the Road Transport
sector. Though a major departure from the authors usual areas of interest- i.e.
business analysis/management, it promoted the concept of multi modal
transport in India. It was written in a new experimental format that could prove
to be a potential game changer in the literary world, if marketed and
packaged on a wider scale.

BUSINESS PLAN FOR SPECIALIZED CONSULTING SERVICES: As the initial 20002002 plans (AI software, outsourced analysis, HRIMS and others) did not get
funding, the contributor changed her strategy and re-oriented her
Entrepreneurial efforts to pitch for projects that do not require capital. After a
lengthy hiatus from 2008 to 2011 in Entrepreneurship, a new Business Plan
prepared in 2012 finally proposed a consulting service that had very low capital
requirements, so that high capital or production costs would not pose a
barrier. It was also discussed a few times in the business and investor
community. And in general, the author has often promoted small scale
entrepreneurship, since 2002.

Product design brought together
elements of Fault Tree Analysis (FTA),
AI Software (Expert Systems) and
applied it for Troubleshooting and
Diagnostics for IT and Business
environments.

Exact implementation of this tool or

approach has not been observed in
industry. The Consultant wanted to
develop a Proof-of-Concept but this
plan has been held up (so far) for lack
of funding and Entrepreneur support.
The consultant has original ideas to
develop this further, and the future
plan is to take it up later, if possible.

Author Profile
Shubhadha Iyer is a Management Business Analyst -has been in the Business and IT field for 17 years,
with a total work experience of 12+ years interspersed with Training. Has specialized in all facets of
Business Analysis including senior-level functions. Progressed from Analyst to Management level in
2007 and held a Management position as Deputy General Manager (DGM-IT).
Initially worked on consulting projects in USA that largely focused on IT/ Applications Analysis, then in Indiaprimarily as Business Analyst from 2002 to 2013 in several domains. Wrote entrepreneurial Business Plans
and White Papers in 2000-2002 and more recently, in advanced Business Analysis and Management (20112013).
Academic background comprises M.S. degree from WSU, Kansas, USA (1995) with specialization in
Computational Fluid Dynamics (Aerospace Engineering), Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Administration
(PGDBA 2010), Certification in Business Analysis (CSBA from Quality Assurance Institute, 2010-2012) and
B.Tech from IIT Bombay (Aeronautical Engineering, 1988).
In addition to her work in Business, Management and IT, Shubhadha Iyer has been a creative contributor in
Dramatics (Playwright, Production-in-charge) and Performing Arts (Event management) as Cultural Nominee
in 1987-88 in college. Participated in Wildlife Treks and other adventure sports, and continues to lead an
active lifestyle.

Future Plans
Shubhadha Iyer is looking for a High level Executive placement while making efforts to widely
publicize her Thought Leadership contributions and latest eBook.
Plans to further develop some ideas that her B Plans initiated-these are ideas for improved product
design that have not been published and are currently on hold.
The plan is to revive this effort based on agreement with concerned organizations. Once her own
rights and privileges are restored, would also like to help the under-privileged.
