Our #icanhelp award winner this week is Ms. Rickard! After working for our school district for over 28 years, and as our
school librarian for 10 years, Ms. Rickard is retiring at the end of the quarter. Ms. Rickard was nominating for always
being kind and friendly to every student who walks into the library. She has helped countless students develop a love
for books and reading and she will be missed! Thank you Ms. Rickard, for all your help. We wish you the best! (9/25)

8th Grade Girls Basketball TODAY 9/21 and Tomorrow 9/22 from 1:00-3:00. (9/22)
NO homework club this week. and No Pinterest Class.
Our spirit competition for quarter 1 has almost come to an end! We will announce the grade level winners
and overall champions on Thursday. In addition, we will announce the most spirited winners from each
grade level and the winners of our spirit raffle! Most Spirited Winners will get a special edition T-Shirt
you cant buy it, you have to win it! Spirit Ticket raffle winners have a chance of winning $20 to Starbucks,
AMC, or Rock n Jump! (9/23)
Adams has a new award called the #icanhelp award. This award will go to a student, teacher,
administrator, or staff member that you nominate!. The nominee should be friendly, kind, and always
helping out. To vote, there will be ballot boxes and papers in the library. Write the name of the person
and why you are nominating them and put in the correct box. The winner will be announced every other
Monday and they get to write their name on our school #icanhelp shirt in the library. Plus, they get a
candy bar of their choice! Lets get out there and do some good! (9/25)
Hey Yellow Jackets! Did you order your Yearbook yet?!?!?! If not, be sure to order it now before the price
goes up again! Get an order form from your advisory teacher or the student office TODAY. Be sure to
turn in your order form AND check by Friday September 25th to the student office in order to get 1st
Quarter Pricing! (9/25)
6th graders are you interested in being in Leadership? How about running for student body? If so, this
ENRICHMENT class is for you! On Thursdays from 2:45-3:45 in room 11, any 6th grade student interested
should attend this after school class. The purpose of this Enrichment class is to:
1) Introduce any interested students to ASB
2) Involve 6th graders in ASB
3) Allow 6th graders to be a part of student government meetings
4) To provide 6th grade teachers with representatives for ASB activities (to do spirit count, make
announcements, etc).
If you plan on applying to Leadership or running for office as a 7th or 8th grader, this class would be a great
starting point! You will get firsthand experience on how the ASB (Associated Student Body) is run,
support our current Leadership students and school and participate in team building activities. Those 6th
graders who were elected at the end of Quarter 1 as 6th grade representatives will be required to attend
as well. Remember, all are welcome! See you for the first meeting on Thursday, October 15th at 2:45 in

Attention 7th graders: You will have a new elective next quarter! Please be prepared to go to your new
class. Write this information in your planner. If you forget, find a friend or go ask your old elective teacher!
Do not ask for your schedule in the office, it gets too crowded. (9/15-9/18, and 10/12)
