Today, we were all reminded of what hope looks and sounds like, and it's in the form
of a white-robed spiritual warrior Pope Francis of the Holy See.
The Pope arrived in the U.S. on Thursday as part of a diplomatic mission after
several stops in the Americas greeted by swaths of Americans anxious for him to
wrap up his visit to Cuba.
The pope is scheduled to address a joint session of Congress at 2pm EST. He is
expected to confront hot button topics such as global warming, immigration and
poverty.

"Oh shi-"
However, Some politicians are weary of the pope's visit because they believe it will
be used to address controversial topics. Sen. Chuck schumer (D) has come out
against the Pope's visit to the mainland, saying, "Most of a pope's job is to preach,
not debate. I don't come to the holy see telling him to stop touching kids. He
shouldn't come here telling me what I need to do... How I should vote."
The senator has come under heavy fire for his comments aimed at the pope. House
Speaker John Boehner (R) has denounced sen. Schumer's statements, saying they
"are divisive and unnecessarily inflammatory."

current Estimates put the number of Americans anticipating The Pope's visit at 125
million people, larger than any crowd for any presidential inauguration in the history
of the United States.
Today's is one of 18 speeches the pope will be making in the mainland this week.
The pope is scheduled to attend mass at the Oakville Holy Shrine on Saturday, the
26th.

Integrated with twitter and Facebook. Maybe install a Facebook messenger on the website so
people have just another reason to stay for a while. Access a "politikos calendar" for free to see
important world & domestic events as they are scheduled (this list is very arbitrary based on
where I look and when but is a valuable tool for following interesting stories one minute before
everyone else.) )

My research has me hard at work.

Until next time...
