Thank you for your prayers during this week of Revival in

Tenn. I am actually writing this before I go but, know that God is

going to bless the services there because of His faithfulness and our
prayers.
God will bless our Revival services here also. We need to
be faithful in prayer, preparation and dedication to the coming
services. We need to come expecting a blessing and seeking a way
to be a blessing. The true mark of revival will be what happens
after the services end.
Sept. 23 is our regular quarterly conference. Several major
issues will be discussed including some budget requests and the
presentation of the revised Wedding Policy for the Church. Copies
of the revised policy are available in the church office for review.
A lesson we learned from High Attendance Sunday, the
people will come if we invite them. Have you invited anyone to
church lately? I look forward to seeing you this Sunday.
Paul

FELLOWSHIP CLUB
Another exciting year of inspiration and fun began last Monday. Frances and Lindsay Gay blessed us with the best in Gospel Music. They are so talented and gifted to communicate the
Gospel in song. Mark October 5th on your calendar for the
next edition of Fellowship Club. You will be blessed!

CHRISTMAS MUSICAL
I HEAR THE PROPHET CALLIN. All adult singers are
invited to be a part of this musical. The music is based on
American Appalachian tunes and styles and will be led by a
live instrumental group! Free books and rehearsal CDs are
available. Please contact me if you could play or recommend
anyone on: flute, oboe, percussion, horn, autoharp, hammered
dulcimer, violin, viola, cello, or double bass.

CALLING ALL BELL RINGERS

Our new year of Handbells has begun. We have a few openings due to members moving and some going off to college.
Join us in the balcony Bell Room on Wednesday nights at 7
PM to discover the joys of ringing.

THANK-YOU
Dian and I are so grateful for the outpouring of love as the
Chancel and Saints Alive Choirs hosted a fellowship in our
honor last Sunday evening. The food was really delicious and
the coffee punch was my personal favorite. The money tree
was quite a surprise and you were all so generous. It is our joy
to designate some of these funds toward the Sons of Jubal project to provide new warm winter coats for needy children on
the West Bank. We have begun purchasing these coats and
plan to pack a whole suitcase full of coats.
Remember our brown-bag prayer time for Revival. It will be
in the Fellowship Hall and will follow our rehearsal on Monday, September 28.

Hunt during Game Time. See you there!

23 and September 30 due to church conference and Revival, respectively.
We will see you back on October 7th!

Revival! Sunday, September 27- Wednesday, September 30

There will be a nursery during Revival for infants through 4 years of age.
Hope to see you there!

Trunk or Treat Wednesday, October 28 7-8 pm

Children are invited to bring their candy buckets and visit cars for treats and
games!
But we need YOUR help. You can participate in the following ways:
1. Decorate a car. Sunday School classes, small groups or individuals are
invited to decorate a car (you can enter more than one car, just make sure you
have two people to man each vehicle). The children's committee has many
ideas to help get your creative ideas flowing. You may even consider hosting
a game or snack from your vehicle. Sign up on the sheet in your Sunday
School folder. Prizes will be awarded again this year... and will be bigger and
better!
2. Donate candy. We are asking cars to bring some candy, but we need so
much more! Please drop off individually wrapped candy to the bucket
outside the church office.

This fall our student ministry will begin a small

group ministry that will meet on Sunday nights. I
strongly believe in the value and impact that a well
run small group can have on the life of a believer and
in the life of a church. This Sunday night we will
have an initial meeting with our students in the youth
building beginning at 6:00. During this time we will
discuss the small group ministry, lay the ground work
for the logistics, and discuss the vision for this
ministry. Parents are welcome to come and I
encourage you to be a part of this time together. We
will also spend time praying for our revival. So make
plans to be at church this Sunday night!
See you at the pole is coming up next Wednesday at
each of our local schools. This is a day to gather
around the flagpole at your school and pray for your
leaders, your school, your city, and your country.
Check with your school for the time you are
scheduled to meet.
My family and I really enjoyed our time away on
vacation, but I am super excited to be back with our
students this week!!
Blessings,
Jeff
