Congregation of the First Baptist Church

Bainbridge, GA
In keeping with the Constitution and By Laws of the First
Baptist Church of Bainbridge, GA, and in keeping with the request
of the Deacons, I submit my resignation as Pastor of First Baptist
Church effective thirty days from today. Thank you for the honor of
being your Pastor for the past 9 1/2 years.
Respectfully Submitted,
Rev. Paul E. Medley
Please allow me the privilege of speaking to my resignation.
1. No one has run me off! No one or group can claim that they are
responsible for my leaving. I make this choice through
prayerful consideration of what is best for the church, my family
and my health.
2. I am mad at no one! This is not a time to be mad. I am
disappointed in some, hurt by a few, but mad at no one. For the
church to move forward in the Kingdoms work there is no
room to be mad or hold grudges. I wont and I hope you wont.
3. My family covets your prayers as we move forward to the next
place God has for us.

REVIVAL CHOIR
Calling all adult singers! Join us for 3 opportunities to share
music for Revival. Stephen Williams, our worship leader from
Dothan, has asked us to sing Sunday at 11 & 6:30 and
Wednesday at 7 PM. Join us in the Choir Room 30 minutes
before those services to rehearse a great song to share.

FELLOWSHIP CLUB
Another exciting year of inspiration and fun began last Monday. Mark October 5th on your calendar for the next edition
of Fellowship Club. You will be blessed!

SAINTS ALIVE
Remember our brown-bag prayer time for Revival. It will be
in the Fellowship Hall and will follow our rehearsal on Monday, September 28.

BELL RINGERS
Due to our church conference, Revival and my mission trip to
Israel, the bells will not meet again until Wednesday, October
14. Join us in the balcony Bell Room on Wednesday nights at
7 PM to discover the joys of ringing.

THANK-YOU
Dian and I are so grateful for the outpouring of love as we prepare for our mission trip to Israel. You have all been so generous. It is our joy to designate some of these funds toward the
Sons of Jubal project to provide new warm winter coats for
needy children on the West Bank. We have begun purchasing
these coats and plan to pack a whole suitcase full of coats.

Coat Collection Due Wednesday, September 30 Church Library

Please help Bro. Art collect GENTLY used, LIKE NEW coats to send
with him to Israel for children living in tents. Coats will need to be for
preschool through middle school age children. They can be placed in
the church library by Sunday, September 27. Thanks!

AWANA Fever Night Sunday, September 27 Fellowship Hall

Study your verses! For every verse you know, you may place sticker
on your leader to make him or her look "sick" with fever. The
schedule is shortened this night!! We will only meet 5:30-6:30 pm!

RA's, GA's and Mission Friends Wednesday Nights @ 7 pm

Please note that there will be no regularly scheduled activities on
September 30 due to Revival. We will see you back on October 7th!

Revival! Sunday, September 27- Wednesday, September 30

There will be a nursery during Revival for infants through 4 years of
age. Hope to see you there!

Trunk or Treat Wednesday, October 28 7-8 pm

Children are invited to bring their candy buckets and visit cars for
treats and games!
But we need YOUR help. You can participate in the following ways:
1. Decorate a car. Sunday School classes, small groups or
individuals are invited to decorate a car (you can enter more than one
car, just make sure you have two people to man each vehicle). The
children's committee has many ideas to help get your creative ideas
flowing. You may even consider hosting a game or snack from your
vehicle. Sign up on the sheet in your Sunday School folder. Prizes
will be awarded again this year... and will be bigger and better!
2. Donate candy. We are asking cars to bring some candy, but we
need so much more! Please drop off individually wrapped candy to
the bucket outside the church office.

What's Happening:
September 27 AWANA Fever Night
September 30 No RAs, GAs, Mission Friends

This fall, our student ministry will begin a

small group ministry that will meet on Sunday
nights. I strongly believe in the value and
impact that a well run small group can have on
the life of a believer and in the life of a church.
Our small groups will begin meeting on
Sunday, October 4th. Each small group will
meet in different homes. I am looking forward
and praying with anticipation that God will use
these groups and our study together to begin to
develop our youth ministry into a group of
believers who love God and love their
neighbor.
Next week our church will be holding revival
services and I am looking forward to this time
together. God has provided us with an
amazing line up of speakers. I hope you have
been praying for God to revive our souls
during this time. Pray that He will do far more
than we can even think or imagine.
Blessings,
Jeff
