The nucleus of modern Zagreb comprises two Medieval towns,

Kaptol and Gradec. Today, decorated by urban vegetation of its
numerous gardens and parks, Zagreb unites the three former
towns which complement each other, forming the characteristic
entity of the city of Zagreb. July weather in Zagreb is expected to be
sunny, with temperatures rising over 20 degrees Celsius.

By having its origin in analytical and continuum mechanics, as well

as in applied mathematics, control theory and computer science,
multibody system dynamics is a branch of computational
mechanics that provides a computational platform for dynamic
analysis and virtual prototyping for diverse highly-developed
industrial products from many fields of contemporary engineering,
such as vehicle and railway systems, aeronautical and space
vehicles, robotic manipulators, mechatronical and autonomous
systems, smart structures, biomechanical applications and nanotechnologies.
Continuing very successful series of past ECCOMAS multibody
conferences that have been organized in Lisbon (2003), Madrid
(2005), Milano (2007), Warsaw (2009) and Brussels (2011), the
next edition of the ECCOMAS Thematic Conference on Multibody
Dynamics will be held in Zagreb, Croatia, and organized by the
University of Zagreb, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval
Architectute, from 1st to 4th July 2013.
The objective of the Conference is to present state of the art in the
theory and applications of multibody system dynamics, to provide a
forum for discussions on the relevant research issues and to serve
as a meeting point for the international researchers, scientists and
experts from academia, research laboratories and industry.
The hospitality of the City of Zagreb will contribute to the
Conference success by providing culturally interesting and relaxing
urban environment of the City that serves as an academical centre
of the region for more than last 340 years.
