letter Aa. As part of our
exploration, we are going to be
doing some fun activities with
apples. I will need each student
to bring in one apple (color of
their choice) by Wednesday.
Thank you in advance!

What to Work On At Home

* Name Writing Can your child write his/her
name? Does he/she begin with an uppercase
letter with the rest of the letters being
lowercase?
Helpful tip: If your child is struggling with writing
his/her name, write it with a yellow marker and
have him/her trace over it in pencil. If your child
already can write his/her first name, move onto
the last name.
* Identifying Letters in Name Many children
can spell their name, but can your child identify
the letters in his/her name even when they are
out of order?

Student of the Week

Helpful tip: Write your childs name on a piece

of paper, and then cut the letters apart. Use the
letters as flashcards
and have him/her practice
naming the letters. Repeat the
activity a couple of times each
night throughout the week.

Next week we will begin Student

student who has shown some
