2015 Southeastern MI MMEA Elementary Choral Festival!

Dear 4th-6th Grade Students and Families,
We are excited to announce 2015 Southeastern MI Elementary Choral Festival for 4th- 6th
grade students! This event is to promote children's joy of singing. Choral members will have
an opportunity to perform high quality choral literature under the direction of expert master
clinicians. This event is sponsored by: The Michigan Music Education Association, Musical
Resources & JWPepper.
Festival Logistics:
Date: Saturday, October 17, to be held at Erie Elementary School, 42276 Romeo Plank Rd,
Clinton Township, MI 48308.
Who can attend the Festival? Any 4th- 6th student is welcome to attend this very special
event. No audition necessary! Students/choirs from around Southeastern MI will be
attending this event.
Cost for participation is $15 per student which covers registration, music and a snack.
How do I register? Fill out the registration form and send it along with your registration fee of
$15 dollars to:

Here is the Schedule for the Festival:

8:30 AM Registration begins

9:00 AM Warm-ups
9:10 AM Clinician, Mr. James Pecar, Choir Director, Chippewa Valley HS.
10:00 AM Group one Sectional with Mr. Pecar Group 2 Snack break
10:30 AM Group 2 Sectional with Mr. Pecar Group 1 Snack break
11:00 AM Whole Group run through of music
11:30 AM Quick rest break
11:45 AM Performance for family and guests. End of Event.

Who can come to watch and is there a cost? We encourage parents to be on site during
the rehearsals to watch the amazing process of kids rehearsing. There is NO cost for
watching the rehearsal or performance.
What to Wear: Wear you school shirt and jeans or you school colors.

and mail it to the address below along with your registration fee of $15 to the address
