About SSET:
SCMS School of Engineering & Technology (SSET), promoted by the
SCMS Group of Educational Institutions,with Dr. G.P.C.Nayar, the great
visionary and educationalist as the Chairman, has been in the forefront of
providing quality professional education in Engineering & Technology
since 2001. With an intake capacity of 660 students in six branches
(Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Communication,
Computer Science and Automobile Engineering), and seven post
graduate streams, SSET is the largest engineering college set up under
the self financing scheme in Kerala. SSET has been ranked among the
top 50 engineering colleges across India and one among the best
engineering institutions in Kerala. The institution has entered into
strategic collaboration with University of Applied Sciences RavensburgWeingarten, Germany for joint research and faculty exchange in the field
of engineering and technology. It is in the process of setting up a
separate division for research, consultancy and training.

About Civil Engineering Department:

The Department of Civil Engineering has been in existence since the
inception of SSET in 2001. The Department offers Masters programme
in Computer Aided Structural Engineering and Environmental
Engineering and is powered by a highly competent and well qualified
team of faculty. The Department also plays a very active role in
consultancy and research activities of SSET.

About ICICE-2014:
Civil Engineering is co-evolving with the integrated global marketplace.
Technology is spurring innovation and accelerating productivity. Global
capital is impacting infrastructure construction, and the global supply
chain is affecting project delivery. Dynamic discussions will explore the
changes shaping the profession today and in the future. Civil engineers
with enhanced skills and knowledge are needed to interact with multinational teams spanning cultural boundaries about global sociotechnological problems.

ICICE-2014

International Conference on Innovations in Civil Engineering (ICICE2014) provides opportunity for academicians, students, and researchers
to meet and share their contributions to the Civil Engineering profession,
guide the future of the profession and find out the latest industry
breakthroughs.
ICICE-2014 aims to create a platform for Civil Engineers and research
scholars to express and share their thoughts on innovative technological
trends in Structural Engineering, Concrete Technology, Environmental
Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering and Transportation Engineering.
With the Global problem of ecological imbalance on the rise, ICICE2014 would like to spread awareness about protecting our environment
for the future generations. We would like to spread the message go
green for a greener future to save the earth for our successors.

Notification of Acceptance of Manuscript: 15-02-2014
Last date for Registration with normal Fee: 01-03-2014
Registration with additional Fee: 02-03-2014 onwards.

promoting Research and Development. It provides academic and

IOSR Journal of Mechanical and Civil Engineering (IOSR-JMCE)
is an open access international journal that provides publication of
articles in all areas of mechanical and civil engineering and its
applications. The impact factor of IOSR-JMCE is 1.485 as per
calculations of AQCJ. The journal welcomes publications of high quality
papers on theoretical developments and practical applications in
mechanical and civil engineering.

Indian Concrete Institute:

The Indian Concrete Institute was registered as a society on 7th
September, 1982 with headquarters in Chennai and has been in service to
the industry and the professionals to promote growth of concrete
construction and its sub-specializations. The institute has more than
10,000 members. Individuals and organizations, working in the field of
concrete and interested in the advancement of construction technology,
in the use of material, equipment, process design, concrete products,
construction, teaching or research are the members of the Institute. It is
governed by a council of a President, four Vice Presidents, Nine
Members and the Secretary General manages the Head Quarters and
coordinates the activities of all the regional centres. To cater to the
regional needs, 30 centres are functioning in major cities/towns across
the length and breadth of India and these centres are managed by
respective executive committees.

Registration Fee:

Indian Authors- Rs.3000.00

Indian Delegates- Rs. 2500.00
Authors from outside India- $150.00
Delegates from outside India- $100 .00

An additional fee of Rs.500.00 for Indian delagates and $50.00 for

international delegates as late fee for registration after 1st March, 2014.
At least one author of an accepted paper is required to register at the full
registration rate. If an author has got more than one accepted paper, each
paper has to be registered. The regular papers may be extended, where a
charge of $20 per page (Rs. 500 per page for Indian authors) would be
levied for the additional pages beyond the regular limit of 6 pages.
Authors have to register before 1st of March 2014. The registration fee
may be sent by DD favouring Director, SCMS School of Engineering &
Technology payable at any bank in Ernakulam. Registration form can
be downloaded from the website.

Exhibition:
An Exhibition will be organized accompanying the conference activities.
Companies and consulting firms working in the different fields of the
construction industry who wish to take the opportunity of the conference
to introduce their activities and to show their recent technical
developments in these fields are invited to participate. Details of the
exhibition are available on the conference web site.

Accommodation:
Accommodation will be provided in the Hostels of SSET and in nearby
Hotels on request. A list of quality accommodations near to the SSET
campus is presented in the conference web site. Transport will be
available from the hotels to the venue of the Conference.

Location:
The College is located 20km from Cochin International Airport, 44 km
from Ernakulam Railway station 15 km from Angamaly Railway
Station,27 km from Aluva Railway Station and 45 km from Thrissur
Railway station. Participants can avail college bus facility from
Ernakulam, Paravur, Perumbavoor and Thrissur on conference dates.
