platform that delivers dense 100 GbE to 200G muxponding in a compact, one rack unit (1RU)
form factor. The T100 solves DCI space and power challenges, delivers high-performance
scalable services, and reduces operating costs.

The Everything Pluggable Platform: A New Paradigm
With the 1FINITY platform, Fujitsu has implemented DP-16QAM
technologies to achieve 200 Gbps per wavelength with a modular,
disaggregated architecture thats dense yet simple. The T100 metro DCI
blade incorporates this new architecture. With its innovative, modular
1RU chassis, the T100 is an everything-pluggable platform, which has
an onboard, universal CPU as its only integrated component. T100 fans,
power supplies, and network function cards take the form of modular
plug-in units (PIUs).
The modular design enhances availability by minimizing mean time to
repair (MTTR), allowing most sources of failure to be repaired quickly.
Additionally, the system is future-proof and evergreen: new modules
can be deployed as technology becomes available.
The low-cost, universal CPU provides a management interface for
programming PIU and shelf functions. For operational efficiency, theres
support for both current and future PIUs in any combination, and
theres no need to upgrade system software. The PIUs are designed as
fully functional systems to allow faster development, speed time to
market, and reduce development costs without upgrades or changes to
the universal CPU software.
Each PIU can be developed, tested, and brought up independently,
basically decoupling shelf management from PIU control. Ninety
percent of software and hardware are based on open-source and
third-party components.

Operations
The 1FINITY T100 can be managed using command-line interface (CLI)
and the REST API. In a stand-alone deployment, using the CLI, simply
turn on the interfaces and select the wavelength. With the SDN and
NFV revolution solidly underway, the 1FINITY T100 fits easily in an SDN
management architecture through support of a REST API for
management from any SDN network controller.
The T100 offers an innovative real-time power performance
measurement that data center operators can use to monitor power
usage. Finally, to simplify operations and maintenance activities, the
T100 has a blue Find Me LED on the front panel.
