Footnotes
BEAUTIFUL MINE was unhurried to the half, circled rivals four wide on the second turn, rallied when set down in the drive, pushed to the front late then held
off SHACKLEFORD BANKS in the final yards. SHACKLEFORD BANKS The latter was on the pace early then dropped back and tracked to the second turn,
saved ground to the stretch then shifted out in upper stretch, followed the winner leaving mid stretch, eased outside that one late, surged in the final yards
and just missed. LATITUDEFORTYTWO was used early and dueled for the lead two wide for six furlongs, responded to pressure to deep stretch then got
outkicked late. THE ALAMEDA KID had no speed, trailed to the second turn, was two wide to the stretch then closed resolutely in the late stages.
TEMPEST RISING settled mid pack to the half, bid three wide and rallied to mid stretch then flattened out. UPTOWN BIG BROWN attended the pace for six
furlongs while saving ground but tired in mid stretch. SEEKING THE STITCH had no speed and was never a threat.
