October is respect life month

During October, the St. Austin Gabriel Project

will be conducting a Baby Drive to support
women and families who have chosen life for
their babies despite difficult circumstances. We
are in need of, and graciously ask for:
diapers (newborn, size 1 & size 2) and
baby wipes. Baby items may be brought to
St. Austins office (2026 Guadalupe Street) throughout October.

A Word from Our Ministry Team

A successful 50th anniversary event!

On Thursday, September 17th, the UCC

celebrated 50 years of Catholic campus ministry
at our current location across from the iconic
Littlefield Fountain. The evening was a
tremendous success, as we honored Fr. Louis
Pavlicek and Alan Graham of Mobile Loaves and
Fishes with the Fr. Dave OBrien, CSP Award.
We were blessed to have alumni, friends, and several Paulist
priests from all over the country travel to Austin to join us.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of all of those who purchased
raffle tickets, sponsored tables, and made donations to the
evenings fundraising efforts, we successfully raised over $93,000
for our ministry. The Lord has abundantly blessed the UCC, as we
will use the money to help reduce our outstanding building debt,
and make room on our staff for an additional pastoral staff
member, who will focus exclusively on providing spiritual
direction and vocations discernment programming for our
students. We look forward to officially welcoming Br. Rob Clarke
on November 1st! Praise God for all the ways He is working
within our ministry, and THANK YOU to all of you who
contributed to make the 50th Anniversary Celebration a success!
