Our Mission Statement

Serving Christ by Learning, Leading and Loving
We are glad you are here!

ITS PUMPKIN TIME CHARLIE BROWN! The first delivery of pumpkins arrive on
Wednesday, October 7th around 4:00pm and the JR ROTC from Forest High School will be out in
high spirits as they unload the truck. BUT we need your help to set up on Monday, October 5th at
9:00am. See Roy Baugher with any questions. If you want to be a reader contact Terri SilvolaFinch and if you can help at the patch contact Libby Orbison. Sign Up sheets will be at the connection station.
UMW United Methodist Women: Operation Christmas Child with Samaritans Purse brings
Good News, Hope, and Great Joy to thousands of children worldwide. Pick up your shoebox in
the back of the church or office and have fun shopping for a boy or a girl. All shoeboxes need to
be dropped off here for shipping during National Collection Week, the third week in November. If
you prefer you can donate $7/box for shipping costs.
PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY: We are proud to say that since record keeping started in 2012
we have given 172 shawls to wrap around loved ones and friends to help strengthen and comfort
in times of need. Prayers Have Powers!
ADVENT CHALLENGE got off to a late start this year. Our goal to reach by the end of December is $5,250.00. Half of the money raised will go towards STOP HUNGER NOW. The other
funds will be used for local outreach ministries.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: How can I hear Gods message anew today?
PRAYER: Dear God, open our eyes to read your word. Open our ears to
hear your voice. Open our hearts to accept your love. Amen.
