US Army (after 17 years) and have joined Wycliffe Bible
How we got here...
As many of you know, Ruthe and I met in Peru, SA,
where we both grew up. My folks, Rich and Judy Reid, were
with Wycliffe (and have been for almost 30 yrs), and Ruthe’s
parents, Rett and Sherrill Bragg, were with South American
Mission. They have been missionaries for 30 years as well, and
are currently in Peru with World Outreach Ministries. When
we met, I was 8 and Ruthe was 7 and we were neighbors. She
liked me and told me as much; I wanted nothing to do with girls.
Many years later, in High School, my opinion about girls
having changed, we began dating . Five years later, in 1995, we
were married in Dallas. I was in the Army, and we moved

This turned out to have been a huge

Our family recently returned from Wycliffe’s Headquarters combat tours in Iraq to prepare us 30%
in Orlando, FL, where we completed Wycliffe’s 2 week EQUIP for flying helicopters for Wycliffe 20%
course. This was to prepare us for our first assignment, which is in the remote locations around the 10%
