Introduction
The Higher Diploma in Insurance (HDII) programme has launched with
the noble purpose of expansion of indigenous knowledge to promote the
sustainable development of Insurance Industry in Sri Lanka. This programme
is designed for those who are interested in developing technical, conceptual
and analytical skills in modern theory and practice in each of the key areas of
Insurance and Business Administration.
The Higher Diploma in Insurance will provide an enhanced profounder
understanding of insurance practice, both in terms of methodical subject
matter and overall management skills. This is an advanced academic
qualification for insurance staff functioning across all sectors of the industry.
Further, this programme fulfills the quality accreditation requirements of the
University Grand Commission.
Target group.
a. Senior managerial level employees in the insurance industry who
intends to build-up their carrier in insurance field.
b. Managers, team leaders, insurance intermediaries and those with
long-term ambitions of assuming managerial responsibilities.
c. Anyone wishing to hold a recognized, respected insurance
qualification.
d. Those awaiting to develop their knowledge and understanding as part
of a progression towards completion of the Degree in Insurance and
Chartered status.
