In Arges was conceived the most beautiful legend

of the immortal construction - the one of Master
Manole, where both the Romanian people and
the feudal state Tara Romaneasca were founded,
but also the place where it was edited the first
document in Romanian, where the most famous
kings of Wallachia had their residence and also the
place from which rose men of notes in fields like
history and culture of the Romanian people.

Arges was and will remain one of the most important

history cradles of the Romanian people, of its
culture and spirituality, a county in which history
and intelligence have provided during the centuries
Romanias prominent personalities.

The traditional Romanian hospitality, along with the

beauty of the Romanian lands and the attractiveness
of the countys economical potential represent
indisputable arguments in favor of the registration
of the Arges County on the priorities map, including
the ones of investment nature, for our future internal
and external partners.

Nowadays, Arges continues the tradition of its

precursors, developing the economy, the agriculture
and the services provided for the population, but
also the spiritual life, being conserved as a distinct
area within Romania and being a connection
bridge between the past, the present and the future,
between Romania and Europe.

With a strong economy, a great human potential

and capitalizing on the significant natural resources,
Arges is situated within Romanias first four counties
in point of the economic growth and has real
perspectives of carrying on with its development in
a constant rhythm in all the fields of social life.

COUNTRY SIDE AND VILLAGES

Towns are the most important element for the tourism:
centralized areas, having all services and all needed
equipment for the tourists, vacation land and also nice
places for a busy visitors and local people. Most important
our small towns keep all their old and traditional downtowns.

Sub-Carpathian area having a traditional agriculture is creating a

nice environment and the opportunity to get in touch with the local
population and their traditions, with the cultural heritage, traditional
products etc.
