Katy was getting excited. It was the day of the circus! Katy loved the circus. At 8 oclock Katy
and her parents arrived at the huge, red and white striped tent called the Big Top.
The ringmaster presented with his huge booming voice Good evening Ladies and
Gentlemen!
Then the lights went up to the top of the tent and Katy saw two trapeze artists, a man and
a woman. They flew through the air. Oooo! shouted the people every time they flew. It
was very, very exciting. A door opened and the lions bounced into the ring. The man in the middle was the lion tamer.
After the lions came the clowns. They had red noses and painted faces and funny red hair. They told lots of jokes and
did lots of very silly things. Ha ha ha ! laughed the people and Katy laughed too. Then the elephants arrived in the
ring. There were three enormous grey elephants and did lots of tricks. After the animals Katy saw four acrobats, a
magician and a group of Chinese tightrope walkers. They were wonderful.
Her father bought her some cotton candy, popcorn and Katy enjoyed a delicious ice cream. She waited so long for this
event. Thats why she felt so happy. What a performance thought Katy on her way back home and dreamed of all
those artists while sleeping in her bed.
