Job Description

Unlike Catapults low-touch marquee wearable technology, ClearSky, the first wireless
local positioning system for elite sport, requires initial installation in a sporting venue
by a Product Support Engineer.
Reporting to our Director of Business Operations, this full-time Chicago-based
position will be Catapults North American hardware expert. Driving all ClearSky
demonstrations, installations and technical support, and with an intimate knowledge of
all Catapult products, the Product Engineer will be an integral part of the evolution of
wearable technology in elite sport.
With the demand for ClearSky with Catapult clients around North America, the
Product Support Engineer position will be well placed to potentially manage a team of
engineers in the near future and may assist in global demonstrations and installations.

Expert knowledge of all Catapult products.


North American lead for installing, troubleshooting and supporting ClearSky Catapults local positioning system.
Coordinate technology developments with research and development team in
Melbourne.
Client support responsibilities for Catapult North American ClearSky clients.
Maintaining respectable and educational relationships with Catapult clients.
Collate all ClearSky feedback and issues from clients and relay to Australian R&D
and support team.
Improve and secure the technologys quality and reliability.
Effectively communicate the flow of information from a local positioning system.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Graduate engineer in Computer Systems or Electrical/Electronics.


Have general IT troubleshooting skills.
General hardware diagnostic skills.
Knowledge of with RF technologies and modulation techniques.
Knowledge of GPS and MEMS, and their inherent sources of interference.
Experience using a Spectrum Analyser.
Ability to keep poise in stressful situations while working with professional and
collegiate sports teams.
Available on-call for emergency client situations away from the office.
Remain up to date with the latest Catapult innovations and the value of new
technologies in order to help support the entire Catapult team.
Be an effective communicator, both written and verbal, with highly developed
relational and interpersonal skills.
Experience with software development and data integration.
Be able to travel up to 50% of the time, potentially spending an initial two-week
training period in Australia, and multiple extended trips with clients.
