What is NKT?
NeuroKinetic Therapy, known as Neuromuscular
Reprogramming (NMR) in its previous
incarnation, is an innovative and relatively new
method of bodywork and muscle therapywhich
utilizes manual muscle testing to assess dysfunctions
of the coordination system of the brain resulting from
traumatic injury, over use, under use, repetitive stress, postural stress, etc. It cues
the brain for new learning resulting in immediate correction of neuromuscular
imbalances. NKT works with the bodys organizational intelligence, addressing pain

at its source: the motor control center of the brain. Practitioners can quickly and
accurately correct the dysfunctional postural and movement patterns that are the
source of most mystifying chronic pain and degeneration of the muscles and joints.

What is FMS?
The Functional Movement Screen is an innovative
system used to evaluate movement pattern quality
for clients & athletes.
The screen is comprised of seven fundamental
movement patterns that require a balance of
mobility and stability and place the individual in
positions where weaknesses and imbalances become noticeable.

Put simply, the FMS is a ranking and grading system that documents movement
patterns that are key to normal function. By screening these patterns, the FMS
readily identifies functional limitations and asymmetries. These are issues that can
reduce the effects of functional training and physical conditioning and distort body
awareness.
Older, younger, active, not-so-active, everyone has unique movement imbalances
and limitations that can lead to pain and injury. The Functional Movement Screen
reveals your weaknesses so you can begin strengthening them, working out in a
gentle but highly targeted and effective way. Based on your screen, Passion for
Fitness develops a customized plan of corrective exercises that meets your needs,
continually tracking and updating your plan as you progress.
