MR. NOBODY
By Anonymous

PARAPHRASE OF THE
POEM

I know a funny little man,

As quiet as a mouse,
Who does the mischief that is done
In everybodys house!
Theres no one ever sees his face,
And yet we all agree
That every plate we break was cracked
By Mr. Nobody.

Tis he who always tears out books,

Who leaves the door ajar,
He pulls the buttons from our shirts,
And scatters pins afar;
That squeaking door will always squeak,
For prithee, dont you see,
We leave the oiling to be done
By Mr. Nobody.

He puts damp wood upon the fire

That kettles cannot boil;
His are the feet that bring in mud,
And all the carpets soil.
The papers always are mislaid;
Who had them last, but he?
Theres no one tosses them about
But Mr. Nobody.

Good habits must be instilled in children from young so that they can grow
up to be responsible adults. It is a good habit to put everything back once
we have used them. We should never leave things lying around. Children
must wipe their muddy feet before stepping on to the carpets. They must
remember to close all doors and windows blinds. Children must not be
mischievous and do bad things like tearing books and putting water on
wood so they cannot burn. Once good habits are instilled in the children,
there would be fewer problems in the house and everything would work
fine and be in place.
2. Living together as responsible family members

1. Respect one another

As members of the same family, we must respect one another. We must
do our part to make the home a safe environment for everyone to live in.
cleanliness is next to Godliness. So, we have to keep our house clean and
tidy. We must not pretend to be innocent when we are the ones who have
done the mischief. Respecting one another demands integrity and
cooperation.
2. Do not procrastinate
When we have a job that needs to be done, we must not procrastinate. If
we do not close the window blinds immediately, the curtains will fade. If
we put off oiling the squeaking door, we will have to bear with the noisy
squeaks every day. If we do not wipe our muddy feet at once before
entering the house, we will spoil the carpet and it will take more effort to

clean the stains. So, it is always wise to do what ought to be done

immediately so that nobody can label us tardy.
3. Help one another
