I. POLICY
It is the policy of the HOTEL to ensure that the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
on process in defining the different types of Standard Operating Procedures.

II. OBJECTIVE
To provide the guidelines and standard procedures in Defining the Different Types of
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in order to:
 Facilitate proper and efficient handling of the SOP procedure and SOP
templates;
 Define and establish procedures and standards for undertaking the making of
SOP’s;
 To properly define the different levels of Standard Operating Procedures for
proper distribution and coordination among different Division;
 To ensure proper implementation and handling of Standard Operating
Procedures;
 To ensure proper usage of the certified SOP Template;
 Minimize possible losses of business and revenue potentials due to improper
handling of incoming SOP’s.

III. CONCEPT
 This General SOP will define the different types of Standard Operating
Procedures of HOTEL
 To Standardize the knowledge on SOP making.

 To Certify Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) endorsed by the Property


thru the General Manager
For the Property General Manager
 Endorses the approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to the
Corporate President for Certification;
 Approves the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP’s) endorsed by the Division
Heads;
For Property Division Head
 Ensures the proper handling and security of the SOP binder of the Division;
 Ensures that the set guidelines, procedures and standards are in order to
ensure proper and efficient process of Creating an SOP;
 Distributes and Roll-out the approved Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to
the Property for implementation;
 Defines and sets guidelines, procedures and standards in order to ensure
proper and efficient process of Creating the Standard Operating Procedures;
 Monitors and checks conduct of procedures on Creating Standard Operating
Procedure (SOP’s) in order to ensure compliance to established guidelines,
procedures and standards of the Company.

For Department Head


 Coordinates with Department staff to ensure the proper implementation and
qualification of the Standard Operating Procedures;
 Monitors the proper filing and compiling of documents found in the SOP binder.

 Undertakes procedures, observes guidelines and standards established for


process in Creating a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP’s) in order to ensure
proper and efficient implementation;
 Ensures compliance to the newly established Standard Operating Procedure;
 Responsible for knowing the certified Standard Operating Procedure process and
template;
 Ensure compliance with established guidelines, procedures and standards of the
Company.
V. GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURES

1. There are Three (3) types of Standard Operating Procedures:


A. General SOP
 A Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) that will be known
and will affect ALL the Divisions, Department, and Sections
of the Hotel. For the general employees to comply
accordingly;
 The General SOP will be filed and compiled in each of the
SOP binders of the Division, Department, and Sections;
Shared SOP
 A Standard Operating Procedure that will be known
and will affect SOME of the Division, Department and
Sections of the Hotel;
 The Shared SOP will be filed and complied in each
of the SOP binder affected Division, Department and
Section
Exclusive SOP

 A Standard Operating Procedure that will be known


ONLY by the Division, Department or Section;
 The Exclusive SOP will be filed and complied in the
respective Division, Department or Section.
2. All Standard Operating Procedure filed and compiled in the SOP binder needs to
be certified by the President and approved by the General Manager;
3. For the Division Head to evaluate and monitor the validity of the Standard Operating
Procedures Binder annually;
