square root, rao and proporon, machine speeds and
feeds, Cartesian coordinate system, algebra, geometry,
trigonometry and praccal industrial shop problems
focusing on CNC machine tool operaons.
PrintReadingManufacturing/MechanicalDrawings
(32hours)
Trainees will interpret actual industry prints while building
the knowledge and skills that will allow them to read
complete sets of working drawings. Text contains realisc
examples, actual prints, illustraons, related tests, and print
reading problems based on realworld engineering prints
related to machining and manufacturing. Thiswillinclude
10hoursofGeometricDimensioningandTolerancing.
BasicMeasuringTools,SafetyAwareness,Quality

(16hours)
Covers general shop safety and how to protect against
hazards. Introduces the basics and implementaon of 5S
organizaon, orderliness, cleanliness, standardized cleanup,
and selfdiscipline. Includes the calibraon of gages and
other data collecon equipment and the use common
measurement systems and precision measurement using
calipers and micrometers.
IntrotoCNCLatheandCNCMillOperaons
(54hours)
This module lays the foundaon of machining and includes
an introducon to machine operaons and tooling. Projects
will be machined on CNC lathes and milling machines.
